1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

We had a room booked at Bunker Bay (South West OZ) last weekend and while sitting outside enjoying the breeze and a few beers a fox snuck up to us. I caught a flash of red and white when it took off and thought maybe I'd had one too many but sure enough it returned about 20 minutes later.
My brother tried to pat it and it nearly took his finger off!! Slowly but surely over the next hour it came closer and closer until it was sitting right alongside us just waiting for us to throw some food (we only had beer!!)
It was pretty amazing, I never thought it possible for them to be so tame but I guess if the foods always there it makes sense? Anyone had similar experiences? I'll try post some pics when I'm at work.

I read a book on evolution once and it said you can domesticate foxes by selectively breeding the tamest from generation to generation. I'm not sure but I think the ones that are most interactive with humans have high levels of serotonin in their body. Anyway, the interesting thing was that a Russian had bred foxes like this and they began to look more like dogs, with waggy tails and floppy ears and soppy behaviour. I saw recently someone in or near Russia was selling domesticated foxes as pets but they were very very expensive.

Try to tame that fox so you can flog its offspring.

You can tame any animal with food.... just look James Tinmanofkent eats out of my hand theses day.

Not sure I'd want to sell his offspring I dout the general licence would cover them.

Very funny stuff, made me smile.... Thank you.

Great photo of that fox near your hand mate, quite impressive to be honest... We fed foxes/cubs for 5 years in our garden and not once did we manage to get close to the things... Get more chance with the hedgehogs:)

    Ha! Very funny.

I'm not sure what trait anyone would see in me and decide to breed me for. I suppose if you liked fatty meat...

This is not a very good back- and- forth thread with the Australians. I presume they are all asleep?

sorry gents, i have been working out in the sticks and just got back now. Stories for another time on that trip.
The fox was pretty cool and in 34 years i havent seen or heard anything like it so i figured it was pretty rare.
I actually worry now that someone will take advantage of this foxes reliance on us and try something dumb, and these thoughts led to a google search on pet foxes and that is the honest truth. Same results as you guys got it seems but i didnt want it for a pet, i would rather see it in my yard safe than some knucklehead dealing with it.
Strange though, cos if i had my gun and a wild one came in my fence,
