1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

  5. Postings on Politics, Religion & Controversial Off-Topic Material

The majority of users do not want to read about these subjects and people have left the forum as a result of it – this is after all an 'Airgun' Forum. It’s all very well to say they don’t have to read it if they don't want to, but as most of us use the ‘New Posts’ button there is no easy way to avoid it.

All AGF staff members are in favour of people being able to discuss what they want, but we have to draw the line somewhere if it is upsetting other users. We don’t want to read about these topics either.

IMPORTANT- The discussion of politics and religion is no longer allowed anywhere on the forum (including the Adult section).  The only exception is if it's airgun related - they must be put in the Airgun Related Politics section..

We will not tolerate bullying or personal attacks, racism or any other offensive 'isms'. we will remove these topics from the forum, we will not give you an area where you can abuse each other. We will not hesitate to ban offenders.

Why was it so bad Mark....

Whilst I love the design of Surefire torches, they always look kool, and theyre bomb proof they don't tend to have massive lumen output.

£700 for a 350lumen torch seems a little south of where it should be by way of output for me.....that said I'd have one of course .

This is our Daisy, She was semi feral whgen we got her, She was in a house that was full of kids so she wouldn't go in!, She hates men and wouldn't have anything to do with me until the wife was in hospital for a month, As I was the only one feeding her she became less distant with me and actually started curling up on my lap!!

Mark will have his own thoughts but £££ don’t always equal lumens , the build quality of Surefire speaks for themselves , and you could strap that 952v to your battle rifle and do 10tours in Afghan without a failure , that’s no exaggeration , they really are combat proven pieces of hardware .

There's no doubt they are an outstanding product Jim...they really are but I'd prefer a few hundred lumens more, and you're right dollars don't mean big output. Build quality and components have a big part to play....I'd love to come across one...maybe some day...to add to my collection....even if it is a few hundred lumens. Here's hoping...

The 952v have been surpassed by the Scout series now for a long time , most of those pushing big lumens at half the size and weight , the M600 ultras are 1000 lumen .

Why was the LED LENSER so bad? it went back after a week because it wouldn't hold charge, got it back and it still doesn't, for £350 thats not great! just cant be bothered to take it back to the shop a second time.

The SUREFIRE is excellent, I have all the X400 ULTRAS etc. my friend brings them in, more of a look than a use on my AR's TBH, an ATPIAL would be nice.

I picked this little fella up today......a muggle friend of mine wanted one so I picked up two :D, one for him and I thought why not one for myself.

    image.jpeg

A nice little compact torch for every day use around the house/ garage/ car/ camping etc.....same length as a pen but a little fatter and has a good strong clip and a useful magnetic base.

    image.jpeg

Runs on 3 AAA and operated at the top with a single button and the UI is simple. 250 lumens on high and with a further press you get 95 lumens on low and then pressed again you get a red flashing hazard. This will be useful if broken down in the car as you can attach it to the car body with its strong magnetic base and lasts for 10 hours. The button on the top operates with a good firm sounding click.

    image.jpeg

It's just like its big brother the Big Larry in that it has a COB LED. Incidentally there is also a Big Larry II and a Big Larry Pro to be had.....I can't help it...... The Pro has an additional LED on the end of the torch as well as the COB which is also more powerful than the earlier model.

    image.jpeg

These aren't expensive at all but for the money you get a pretty good quality torch that has a great feel and finish. It has a good weight to it and whilst obviously made in th Far East it doesn't feel like tat. No imperfections to the anodising on the aluminium body, I just think they are a belting little torch to have around the house or in the car or in your rucksack if walkng or camping.

    image.jpeg

I think I'd probably take one of my bigger torches if going out on a long walk or if camping but this would be ideal backup light or emergency light.

    image.jpeg

i don't think you can go wrong fo the money @ £6.99 and with a 2 year warranty......:thumb:

Well the baton arrived and has been out a couple of times. It’s good - very similar performance to the nitecore p12.

    A worthy addition.

F527A3B4-9D7A-41C1-BCB6-BA2BDBA3F981.jpeg Ok so here’s the new SR2 Baton alongside two old faithfuls - thrunite archer and a nitecore p12.

The archer is a good backup and a great edc, however it might get edged out now as the baton is slightly smaller in length, but bigger in diameter but has the performance of the p12

In terms of brightest - not much in it between the baton and p12. The beams are slightly different but both very usable.

You get a nice bag, strap and obviously a charging cable with the baton

@Tim_B fantastiche Tim.......pleased your happy with it mate. The Thrunite Archer is just a belter isn't it but now that you've got the Olight it's likely to be 2nd best.

The offers at Olight have been superb this week. A mate has just bought a Warrior X for £81 a saving of £35.....cant wait to get my hands on my baton 2 :D
