1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

  5. Postings on Politics, Religion & Controversial Off-Topic Material

The majority of users do not want to read about these subjects and people have left the forum as a result of it – this is after all an 'Airgun' Forum. It’s all very well to say they don’t have to read it if they don't want to, but as most of us use the ‘New Posts’ button there is no easy way to avoid it.

All AGF staff members are in favour of people being able to discuss what they want, but we have to draw the line somewhere if it is upsetting other users. We don’t want to read about these topics either.

IMPORTANT- The discussion of politics and religion is no longer allowed anywhere on the forum (including the Adult section).  The only exception is if it's airgun related - they must be put in the Airgun Related Politics section..

We will not tolerate bullying or personal attacks, racism or any other offensive 'isms'. we will remove these topics from the forum, we will not give you an area where you can abuse each other. We will not hesitate to ban offenders.

was Ok with my Big 10-50 mag scope but only usable out to 25yrds ish on a dark picture on max and 10 x is a littel restrictive on FOV
So new Hawke Sidewinder 6-24 x 56 (would have liked a MTC gensis as the 5-20 is a better step But No mil dot std ret or Green IR just red ) First new scope ive bought in over 15yrs lowest mag range too but works well with the NV and Im at home with the Mil dot as its the same as the 10-50 ie zero top trajectory at first mark up on 10x mag so at 20 x its 2 marks up

Pulsar DSA with a E700 using Plumb fittings a small Maxped small pouch contains a Battery pack and a Wireless transmitter with external switch and the MOLLE threaded tho the DSA rail before bolting it on (bit of a fiddle )
but comes on and off easily in one piece
    [IMG]

Viewer is My Vuzix Glasses and another Maxped Pouch holding the Vuzix battery and connectors plugged into the Wireless Reciver and a Battery pack for the receiver Just needs a 90deg 2.1mm power plug to tidy up the wires plus a much smaller battery would be fine tho this all fits in a shirt or jacket top breast pocket. Minor Faff is that with the glasses you have 2 powerpacks tho i could drop a 5v feed off the Main battery and 2 items to turn on Main battery for the Transmitter and the glasses a momentary on button on the lenses)

    3rd part the Illumination
a MArky610 Nite-tek T20 with 3 mode 940nm IR Ive fitted the yukon ranger Head which gives lots of available light when zoomed in even in the 940nm for airgun ranges and well beyond (even on the 50x mag usable just at 25yrds ) but powers down and zooms out for low power close range. (yes i know the std T20 from Mark is perfectly good enough for most airgun stuff and the 850nm chucks out 4 x the light )
I prefer the low mount keeps the Center of balance lower and less likely to tangle in stuff that sitting out on top

I like them better than a screen they are wide screen so a bigger picture ratio 12mm lens fills left to right and just clips the top and bottom of the scope circle

No big deal with stumbling as its easy to look over / under (still working on a second cam cant decide on a wide angle head mount for normal ish vision or a scope mounted spotter with a 20-30mm lens Might try both )

its really easy just plug in and use Ive started with a maplins set
    http://www.airgunforum.co.uk/forums/showthread.php/174750-Wireless-for-video-glasses-set-up-and-more

which works fine problems are the 8v power needed for the Receiver (runs of a 7.4V Lipo)
and the transmitter tho small is bulky with the std cable plugs
HAs the ability to use 4 seperate transmitters and switch between them on the reciver

Also got one of these which is what is on the gun at the moment
    http://www.nightvisionforumuk.com/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=6302

Uses 12v has better Cable connection options ie you can easily resolder your own cables and connectors on
is only 1 channel an the transmitter isn Not compatible with the Maplins receiver

    heres how it sits

the Pocket pack for the Receiver put new short Cables on it with 90 deg plugs to fit the power pack and the 4 pole 3.5mm jack on the Glasses unit Battery is a bit big its a std 6800mAh not reall ya problem in your pocket
    [IMG]

The Transmitter I haven't cut the wires down yet but you could solder the camera cables direct to it I would be inclined to do a 3 pole 2.5mm jack and socket. Its an El wire 1800mAh unit so needs a on / off rocker ive a smaller lighter Lipo 850mAh (camera only pulls 70mA and the transmitter probably 50mA ) to try later but it all folds up into the Pouch would also fit a Maplins project box (lot cheaper than the pouch)
