1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

  5. Postings on Politics, Religion & Controversial Off-Topic Material

The majority of users do not want to read about these subjects and people have left the forum as a result of it – this is after all an 'Airgun' Forum. It’s all very well to say they don’t have to read it if they don't want to, but as most of us use the ‘New Posts’ button there is no easy way to avoid it.

All AGF staff members are in favour of people being able to discuss what they want, but we have to draw the line somewhere if it is upsetting other users. We don’t want to read about these topics either.

IMPORTANT- The discussion of politics and religion is no longer allowed anywhere on the forum (including the Adult section).  The only exception is if it's airgun related - they must be put in the Airgun Related Politics section..

We will not tolerate bullying or personal attacks, racism or any other offensive 'isms'. we will remove these topics from the forum, we will not give you an area where you can abuse each other. We will not hesitate to ban offenders.

Another little update on the Leshiy.
About 4 months in from getting it and it is going through JSB Express faster than @Shoto1 consumes Twix's. And he does eat some Twix's :D
Its seen some pretty heavy use and a lot of live (dead) quarry.

Problems? - Zero. No leaks, squeaks or any other concerns.
Consistency - As I first set it up. Perfect.
The finish? - Not sure what the coating is that they put on these but its still unmarked.

Any plans to change anything? - Not likely. You don't mess with something this good.

    Won't happen Ant. :thumb:
I'm in a weird place now (and I don't mean Devon :D ) with my rifles. I just have no yearning for any other hunting rifle.
The Leshiy is just so good, its hard not to pick it up for a hunting trip.

With the Leshiy, and the Cat if I really need multi shot, I'm sorted big time.

Fitted my vortex Viper Pst Gen II 2-10x32 today. Only had these mounts, I have some vortex Pro mounts on the way! As I need it to sit a bit higher...

Looks good I think. I like the reticle and the ffp.. I can get as close as 10yards without much of a fuzzy image.. Proper testing when the new mounts turn up! :D:cool::thumb:

Now six months in with this Leshiy.
It seems much longer. Almost like I've shot it for years.
It continues to perform exactly as when I first fitted the Huma sub 12 kit.

It's munching its way through the newest delivery of express (I have no idea of the batch number), each tin as accurate as the last.
It gets chronoed regularly and never misses a beat.

No faults, no concerns, and a perfect pest control tool.

I've got a few tasty rifles, but for a heavy pest control session, its the first port of call.
The others now are resigned to the occasional day out.

Not a lot more I can actually add to this. It does exactly as is asked of it, as sure as night follows day.

What a corker of a rifle.

I'd like to thank @Shoto1 for introducing me to a rifle that has totally transformed my shooting.

That’s good to hear Rob , your reviews and updates certainly helped empty my wallet so it’s good to know it’s still doing the business for you :)

Just been asked on another thread (totally unconencted to the Leshiy, other than my reply) whether someone would be disappointed with a Leshiy.
I thought I may as well add my reply to this thread as it actually confirms my view of the Leshiy.

Its a tricky one to answer.
The Leshiy's no target rifle and not really a range rifle in my opinion. Not that it won't do either, as it will and very well too.
Accuracy is up there with anything I've ever shot, including a Steyr H5 (and my H5 was laser accurate), but there are undoubtedly better rifles for those purposes. Having said that, I reckon it may do very well at LSR or even HFT.

What the Leshiy is, is an out and out hunter. It actually has quite an impressive shot count too.
The feather weight (mine's around 2kg scoped) makes for such an easy carry in the filed its unreal. It comes up onto aim swiftly and is the best instinctive shooting rifle I've ever laid hands on, let alone owned.
Reliability is unquestionable. I've never known anyone have a fault on one and they've been around a good few years now.
A complete muppet could safely strip one and rebuild it with a couple of allen keys and a pick in short order. They're designed to be home serviced.

The only thing I can see anyone having any issues with is the trigger, as its a single stage trigger, but hang on..............
I reckon its the best trigger I've ever had on any air rifle.

The trigger operation is buttery smooth.
As soon as you commit to a shot a smooth squeeze sees the Leshiy spitting pellets out, with an accuracy that most wouldn't even imagine.
SOme do the faux 2 stage conversion, but anyone spending a bit of trigger time with the standard setup will soon love it. My current Leshiy is my second one. I've made no trigegr adjustments to this or my first one, they're that good (and I'm really particular about trigger settings.

So if your comment was a question, I very much doubt you would be disappointed with one :)
In fact I rate the Leshiy so highly, I've considered selling all my other rifles and getting another Leshiy so I have a dedicated day and night rifle, both Leshiys. I have some corkers but wouldn't miss any of them.
For any day or night hunting trip, I find it extremely difficult to take one of my other rifles out over the Leshiy.

In fact, just to add weight to the accuracy thing.....
Before I bought my first, I did the usual trawl of the reviews on the net.

The ones, I saw by Ted's holdover and Steve Allen actually did the Leshiy no favours in terms of how good they actually are.

The factory 250mm barrels are superb, I seriously doubt I'd ever change mine.

I would add one more thing- shooting Leshiy is not so easy but it is so much fun because of the recoil - I would say between FAC PCP and light springer.

I have sold all my other rifles! I need no other for my needs...

Like you say it will work on a range/target stuff and I do use it for that, but it really is a hunting tool...

I’m still in denial at the moment , but I have to say it’s just so damn easy to pick up and shoot ... all rifles and pistols generally are but the leshiy .. it’s easier which equates to more enjoyment !

I'm finding it a very handy rifle for shooting from a car. It's so short you can pretty much juggle it in the passenger seat. If anything, it's a little too short. I nearly put a hole in the passenger mirror earlier today because the barrel doesn't clear the mirror.
