1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

Just received a Crossman 600 fantastic pistol, very well made. Just put 35 Bisley practice pellets through it without a hiccup. That's about all you get from one Co2 capsule.
Wonder why they stopped making them, great fun and very accurate, with a really nice trigger.
    Thanks homenow2010

Great pistol, mine works well with hobbies and nickerson magnums. I've a 10" barrel with silencer adaptor as well, nice and quiet and can use at home that way

my pleasure daryl. .. out of my large collection ,i still have a few left if anyone is interested ,,last count was 15 i think.. i find they work best with crosman co2 and bisley practice,, i say crosman co2 because quite a few times the other brand names of gas dont fit the cap neck properly so will not pierce all the way.....strange but true..

Always fancied a 600. Saw one for sale recently at £250. Must say, I was rather tempted!

    Hi

I bought a 600 a few weeks ago- most fun you can have with your trousers on!! :D:D

    View attachment 105205

I have a bulk fill cap from Archers for a 78 rifle which as everyone probably knows is based upon a Crosman rifle, The cap screws on halfway then fouls on the underside of the barrel, been thinking of turning the knurling lines off the cap on my lathe to get it all the way on!! Dunno how many shots from a fill i'd get though!!

    Cheers, John

I was looking at some mint as new boxed Crossman 600 pistols yesterday on the USA site Gun broker.com, starting off at $200 dollars, which is about £160 quid.

yeah it is about £160 quid, but put p+p on £30, customs £20 ,,,then it needs a reseal,, a reseal is £30 minimum, plus postage there and back to get it resealed £22 ...and it soon adds up,plus you cant even look at the gun before you buy it..

If I still had mine I would run it on regulated HPA remote line , now that would be nice ,
I fitted a longer barrel and only got 25 shots per 12g , and bulk fill was hit and miss ,
all co2 propelled guns were banned in the uk because of the 600 I believe ,,

    [IMG][IMG]

I can't give it actually because it belongs to Lawrie Amatruda!! (It's a beauty though )

EDIT- Hmmm, Not sure why I have that it's .175 cal when I'm sure it's .177cal

    Ahhh!!

Just went through my correspondence with Lawrie back in 2007 and found this!!

"Hi John,I forgot to mention in my earlier E-mail that the 177 version of the 600 was called the 677 Plink-O-Matic, and is actually 175 cal.
    All the best,
    Lawrie."

So the actual 'BB' sized shot that was bought for this gun would have been bought from a shotgun reloading supply place as the actual diameter of the shot is .175" or 4.4mm the same as my Anschutz mod 275 and would have been bought by the pound (Weight) from the store!!

    Cheers, John
    :)

I don't believe this is the case - IIRC CO2 got collaterally-clobbered under legislation that prohibited devices that "emitted noxious gas", since it's an asphyxiant.. although obviously it'd take a fair bit of effort to asphyxiate someone with a CO2 pistol :p
