1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

  6. Postings on Politics, Religion & Controversial Off-Topic Material

The majority of users do not want to read about these subjects and people have left the forum as a result of it – this is after all an 'Airgun' Forum. It’s all very well to say they don’t have to read it if they don't want to, but as most of us use the ‘New Posts’ button there is no easy way to avoid it.

All AGF staff members are in favour of people being able to discuss what they want, but we have to draw the line somewhere if it is upsetting other users. We don’t want to read about these topics either.

IMPORTANT- The discussion of politics and religion is no longer allowed anywhere on the forum (including the Adult section).  The only exception is if it's airgun related - they must be put in the Airgun Related Politics section..

We will not tolerate bullying or personal attacks, racism or any other offensive 'isms'. we will remove these topics from the forum, we will not give you an area where you can abuse each other. We will not hesitate to ban offenders.

Hugo is a mainstream nutter, I just wonder if he is one of the conspiracy theorist on the forum. Brazil stands for freedom, tell that to the people Brazil's death squads eliminated including street children.

Not paying it now and going to court may end up him paying more than just a fine after court.

Not sure on this but does non payment of fines show on a DBS*report ?

Could make getting certain jobs harder .

He didn’t have to at all, he could have exercised his right to remain silent and not engage in conversation with the police. Just sayin’ :coffee:

Surely they would have the right to arrest him if he had chosen not give them his details?

EU citizens have to obey laws as well.

£200 seems to be popular. 2 ladies received that for driving 5miles and taking a walk in the peak district. They are going to dispute it. Given the problems in "nature areas" I think they were stupid going there. Not related so probably in separate bubbles with all of their friends. That has been misused.

To be honest I feel the police need to be far more involved than they have been most of the time.

Traffic around me suggests more going to work than they did in the first lock down based on early morning. Seems London is the same. Hard to understand why.

Correct. If he refuses to pay the fine he could well end up with a criminal record. If he does , he will probably have declare it to employers and any insurance company he may deal with. Many house insurance companies will refuse to cover anyone with a record. It could be very expensive in the long run.

I believe society is being manipulated into enforcing its own imprisonment under the guise of following a health agenda proven to be ineffective during previous lockdowns, especially as one of the main sources of Covid dispersion seems to be coming from unchecked foreign visitors flitting all over the country on extended stays. But let’s burn the bloke who’s losing his mind being locked in a flat for three months solitary instead. He should have had his papers in order before he left home. I have. Printed excerpts from the gub’mints own Covid rules and I’ve highlighted in yellow marker the exceptions that allow me to go where I want when I want. I draw the attention of the police to these rules I keep in a PVC folder in my backpack while going about my business and I’ve not had a problem - or a fine- all year long.

Why aren’t people getting outraged at the endless influx of people from all corners of the world entering England unchecked via the airport instead of tar and feathering the lonely indigenous people visiting each other through needing company?

It’s almost like a witch hunt and I‘m surprised theres not a more balanced view on here.

I wish anyone luck who loses their sense of humour during this coming years sh!tefest. You’ll need it if a few posts about people supposedly breaking zee rulz rile you.

He's exaggerating how most feel and quoting garbage in parts. The way things are going depending on where he lives reality might catch up with him but maybe he hides away and lives in his van all of the time. I couldn't take all of it but one bit I looked at suggests he is watching who he mixes with.

As far as I recall a fixed penalty notice (£200 Covid fine) does not incur a criminal record, wether it goes to court or not.

I was of the understanding that a fixed Penalty Notice had to be given to you in your hand,I could be wrong though

Yeah but that way he gets what he REALLY deserves -increasing fines and jail when he doesn't pay them ;)

A law may or may not be right**, but it's there and sensible people stay within the law :finger:

** NB: I'm not saying the lock-down law is wrong, I was just saying in general terms (mostly thinking about some friends who smoke the devil's lettuce and TBH I'm sick of their banging-on about how unfair/unjust the law is in that regard at every fekking opportunity  )

Be well Mikey (BTW have your ears been burning? -Lev and I have made some plans for you and @1260engineer in the "too good to be true" thread :laff: ) :thumb:
