1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

  5. Postings on Politics, Religion & Controversial Off-Topic Material

The majority of users do not want to read about these subjects and people have left the forum as a result of it – this is after all an 'Airgun' Forum. It’s all very well to say they don’t have to read it if they don't want to, but as most of us use the ‘New Posts’ button there is no easy way to avoid it.

All AGF staff members are in favour of people being able to discuss what they want, but we have to draw the line somewhere if it is upsetting other users. We don’t want to read about these topics either.

IMPORTANT- The discussion of politics and religion is no longer allowed anywhere on the forum (including the Adult section).  The only exception is if it's airgun related - they must be put in the Airgun Related Politics section..

We will not tolerate bullying or personal attacks, racism or any other offensive 'isms'. we will remove these topics from the forum, we will not give you an area where you can abuse each other. We will not hesitate to ban offenders.

I've just ordered a Combro, which software is the best to use Android and/or PC.
And where can I get a USB data cable.
I've seen the BlueShot kit, do I really need to spend another £30 just to connect to my phone?

As an afterthought.....it should be interesting with my FAC guns, the mods are 38mm and they may have to come off.

I've just bought it and it does what it says on the tin...pretty basic but you just connect and shoot away without having to reset the combro after every shot. The spreadsheet you then email to yourself is very basic but it at least allows you to alter it to a format/design you can work with.

Thanks for the replies, I did use the search page but it was mostly questions and no answers:rolleyes:

Great service from Combro, I ordered Wednesday night and it was in my hands at 9am this morning.

I ordered the Chronosoft cable and downloaded Chronosoft and Blueshot apps. Besides checking the Logun and the Mk3 I'll have to wait until the dive cylinder comes back from testing ( I hope) so multi shot graphs and averages can wait.

The data cables turned up on Saturday morning.......my hand caught the envelope as it came through the letter box.
Well, then it all went belly up, firstly the Combro wouldn't connect to the apps on my mobile, then updating the USB drivers I managed to update the phone to the latest Android version 6.
I lost the root function of Android V5 and the hacked OnTheGo that allowed me to previously connect a USB memory stick to the phone.
According to the very helpful chap from Chronosoft, my phone wasn't compatable and now it certainly isn't.

All the same though, I put a few shots through the Combro, quite happy with the results for the MK3. Now I have to wait another 3 days to find out wether or not my dive bottle has passsed its retest so that can play with the PCPs.

To get mine to work with the blueshot cable (it wouldn't initially), I was advised to connect the cable to phone and combro then restart the phone with it all connected.
Turn on combro after restart and it registered it. Now whenever i plug it into my phone the blueshot AP starts.

You get the calibration code written on back of Combro when new. This let's you get the adjustment value from their website to enter into your Combro menu. You do this once. Makes only a tiny difference so not really anything to worry about though.

I had to do exactly that, by the sounds of it on here everyone bar a few just used it straight out the box. Mine was quite a bit out. 1ftlb out.

Had my air rifle re chronoed at the place i bought it from and they said the Chrono in question wasnt accurate enough.

Is Chronosoft having problems? I ordered a cable from the eBay shop and was given expected delivery date of the 12th or the 13th of this month. Looking at the symbols you can see it's paid for but not been sent yet. I have emailed them to see what's happening and it just bounced back. Tried to go to the Chronosoft forum and says I don't have permission to access it. Here's what I ordered...

Has anyone else had this problem?

I had very similar problems to you, I ordered one from ebay, about a week later I got an email telling me it wouldn't be sent because they were then going on holiday (Quality service ) , did I want to wait another 2 weeks or a refund, I took the refund, I did eventually get two,one for phone and one direct to PC, one was broken , it was replaced without problems straight away. I run several adblockers ,script blockers etc on my PC's , despite allowing all the blocked connections it was virtually impossible to order directly from their website either :(

The cable is so short that unless you buy an extension with it (1m is not long enough for anything) , it falls off very easily unless you securely tape it on, I can get away without taping the Blueshot if I just want a quick test, I found it missed shots very regularly, if it does come a little loose , the whole shot string has to be started again, I've never used it since. From your other posts you have been using a Blueshot, I'd seriously stick with that if I was you, I got hold of one on here (AGF) , it hasn't missed a beat, picks up every single shot, unlike the one your trying to get hold of.

The one I had would do six or seven shots, disconect, then it would be good for several shots , then break connection again. With the Blueshot I can do 150 shots plus without an issue.(I have done on more than one occasion, you can leave it on and shoot and see if wild pellet groups are caused by different FPS shots) If your going to use it on a springer, good luck to you mate. I've tried both and those were my findings, pehaps otherr people had better results than I did with those cables

Thanks for the info, most helpful. It's actually going on 2 guns, the Walther RM8 (pcp) and the SYN xs78 (Co2) I don't own a 'springer'. The Blueshot isn't compatible with my phone, but a very nice member sent me an Android tablet which it works very well with.

Check on the Combro website UKz, I think there's a little bit on there about the Combos and CO2 guns if you haven't read it already , some cannisters create problems and taping up the combro !! , I've only got springers and PCP's so haven't had that problem :thumb:
