1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

I recently bought a combro Mrk 4 Chronograph and tried a few pellets through my hw100 .22 rifle to check the power level.

    Results

    Rws Superdomes - 11.47,,,,,, 11.42,,,,,,11.37,,,,,,,11.25

    Rws Superfields - 10.56,,,,,, 10.42,,,,,,,8.99,,,,,,,, 9.43

    Webley Accupells - 11.47,,,,,, 11.37,,,,,,,11.36,,,,,,11.22

I tested Rws superdomes, superfields and webley accupells for grouping at 35 yards 5 pellets each and the results were
    Picture 1 - Superfield, Picture 2- Accupells and Picture 3 - Superdomes

Should I stick to Accupells or Superdome as my Hw100 seems to hate Superfields!

    What do you think guys?

My .22 HW100kt dooes very well with JSB exacts which would be well worth trying. I think you have your answer already for what you've tried!

Try a different pellet altogether I think.

Superfields definitely don`t suit either for accuracy or through the chrono ..... 10.56 to 8.99???

Zuko doesn't really say a lot as no distance quoted you're zeroing at, my AA s200 would be a far tighter group at 25yds using superdomes, I would've expected better from your Weihrauch ;) Sorry missed the distance part but it really should be much better mate

What difference does it matter that he's zeroed at,consistency is what we need to look at.

PS-Those figures are pretty sub standard from an un regged rifle.

If my .177 hw100 had that much spread of ftlb it would be on its way back to hull cartridge.
and the hw100 is regged just not it the conventional sense but still regged:)

I'm not the best shooter in the world but at 35 yards i'm happy with the grouping from both Accupells and Superdomes, I'm just wondering how much punch they will have on the rabbits, pigeons etc. ( i do like to take head shots but sometimes have to take a heart/lung shot)

Do any of you guys rate these pellets for hunting and which one do you prefer?

    Cheers guys

If the accupells are the most accurate, then that's the best hunting pellets for your set-up. If you hit the sweet spot with any pellet, it's going down.

    If I can't group within a 1p piece I don't hunt!!

Using paper targets will also give a better idea on the group size;)

Well from you're pictures Accupells appear to be the most accurate and powerwise they're giving maximum power with a safe margin so accupells would be the choice out of those three.

The 5 Accupells seemed to shoot a vertical line 3 pellets high where as the Superdomes shot more horizontal 3 pellets wide so shot placement is roughly the same:shrug:
I guess it may come down to what pellet has the best impact on the quarry.

Try AA Fields and JSB Exacts in a couple of headsizes, they're well known for accuracy and can also produce higher power figures than many other pellets. Superdomes can be accurate but tend to go off past 35 yards.
