rapid 177 does the lot you can choose these days regulated rapids or the mk 1 easy to service yourself and a lot better build quality than the air arms

    Depends what youre budget is.

Gamo do a good range of full power rifles a league above the chinese range, and Cometa 200/300/nickel are all great work horses without you being scared of trashing the stock (cos its basic and lacks any decoration..if you can call it 'lack').

I got a 300 based on value, and it gets a lot of respect at the range for power and accuracy with a nice scope.

But again, you my have a £200+ rule, in which case you will have other options.

The only way I'm getting a new rifle is technology. I may want gas in future but that would be the only reason.

I agree that AA are the most accurate guns i have tried but then i have not tried them all.
The S410 and S400 are the same apart from multi shot and i like the feel of the AA series.
I thought the hw 100 was accurate and had smooth action but its weight was a huge let down if hunting. And when stalking weight is a huge factor.

    So i am plopping for a carbine...Why not!:D

we must all be getting a bit old on here got major probs with my back but i will still be using the rapid s type and thinking about a fn12 177 for those long uphill walkabouts the s type is up to now the best and most accurate gun i have ever had

Best all rounder at an affordable price - something BSA ...

Possibly the Supersport or Lightning ...

The XL Tactical also looks to be a good contender.

    Maybe something by Weihrauch?
