1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

Two months after having my driving licence medically revoked (sleep apnoea syndrome), I have a clean bill of health and this morning received my licence back.

7-8 (edit: 9 nearly 10 actually after checking) weeks off the road, can't say I've missed it really apart from not being able to do the school and hospital runs.

At least everyone was safe from me while I was sorted out!

I can get to the range now for some R&R.

    :)

    Good on ya fella.

    That's good news:up:

I prefer to walk or cycle short journeys and its surprising how much more is noticed rather than driving everywhere.

Damn! I wish it was two again, I know you like your bikes, I've had a GSX1400 and others, maybe one day I'll get a ZZR1400 or something similar when I get my joint replacements done.

Riding a bike around these inner city streets is a minefield, I rather ride though a village in Basra.

Cool mate, we'll have to arrange to meet up one of the days, maybe go to the range or for a cuppa - catch up. ;)

It's horrible not having a vehicle to get about in/on no matter which you prefer - a bit like losing your legs isn't it?

I had a month's driving ban when I was eighteen (long story - not my fault) and although I'd only been riding for a couple of years I was devastated. I swore I'd never be off the road again. o_O

Welcome back to the madhouse Steve. :)

I had noticed that they've removed a few categories from my licence, C1 and D1, 7.5tonne and minibus/vehicle over 8 passengers I think, You have to prove more comprehensively that you are fit to drive in order to get these back. No biggie, I'm glad they never took my hard earned beloved 'A' away ;)

I've heard from a few people when they have renewed their licence from paper to ID plastic photo.Cat A had been taken away? Not happened to me though when I renewed mine

Was the first thing I checked for when I renewed my photo on the licence, I'd heard some people on my old bike forum say they'd lost their entitlement, very worrying that they could make an error like that, could have cost someone their licence, livelihood and much more if they hadn't been so eagle eyed.

Just a reminder to those with photo licences, make sure they are in date, the picture must be updated every 10 years, I was driving around for 4 years illegally without insurance because I had overlooked it.
