1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

  5. Postings on Politics, Religion & Controversial Off-Topic Material

The majority of users do not want to read about these subjects and people have left the forum as a result of it – this is after all an 'Airgun' Forum. It’s all very well to say they don’t have to read it if they don't want to, but as most of us use the ‘New Posts’ button there is no easy way to avoid it.

All AGF staff members are in favour of people being able to discuss what they want, but we have to draw the line somewhere if it is upsetting other users. We don’t want to read about these topics either.

IMPORTANT- The discussion of politics and religion is no longer allowed anywhere on the forum (including the Adult section).  The only exception is if it's airgun related - they must be put in the Airgun Related Politics section..

We will not tolerate bullying or personal attacks, racism or any other offensive 'isms'. we will remove these topics from the forum, we will not give you an area where you can abuse each other. We will not hesitate to ban offenders.

Alright chaps? It's been a while...

Haven't posted here for what seems like ages, but with your permission, I need to seek the knowledge of some of you classic Air Rifle experts out there.

So the story is... I work on a care farm that helps people with addiction issues, homeless, mental health problems etc improve their life, etc y'know get a Job, learn practical skills.. all of that.

We have a mixture of crop, a fishing lake, and livestock, 100 (soon to be 250) chickens for eggs, 10 pigs which .etc

Now some of the crop that we have planted has been absolutely mullered in a few weeks by woody's, and thats before the rabbits come back in force plus there has been an increase in rat activity, bothering the birds, but also in numerous areas.

Annoying, yes! ...but if I'm honest it gives me my first opportunity, to get shooting again after 18months.

After selling my pride and joy.. My HW100KT with Hawke sidewinder and little DIY NV set up. (Which by the way was one of the biggest mistakes I have made) I was on the hunt for a tool to do the Job. However, it needed to be cheap as I got married this year and am subsequently skint...

So I was chatting to my old man about my little pest problem, who revealed he randomly bought an air rifle the other day  seemingly for no apparent reason).

Lets see it I said!!!! :D

    What is it?

I don't know, but its pretty! He said, and proceeded to unveil what (I THINK) is an immaculate BSA Stutzen!!! .177 flavour! Complete with a Simmons scope.

An best of all, I can have it!

    Lovely stuff!!!:up::up:

    Here it is...

View attachment 93473 View attachment 93474 View attachment 93475 View attachment 93476

Anyway to cut a longer story short, I don't want to use it for hunting as it will get damaged, and to tell you the truth, i haven't been accurate with a springer ever, never mind after 18months out!

So I need a valuation as i want to part-ex or swap/sell etc and get a cheap, light, accurate PCP, that I will use as a tool.

So any help you guys could provide would be fantastic!

    Cheers,

    Jon

One thing you hadn't mentioned Jon, was the fact this Airsporter is a RB model, much better than a tap loader, and worth a fair bit more to.

Cheers lads, would really like to keep it but unfortunately don't have that luxury. £300 is what i said to the old man. I remember an old boy at my local RFD alway used to come in asking for one.

Where is the best place to stick it up for sale do you reckon?

RFD won't offer me £300 part-ex will they?

Theres a sales section on this forum, why not put it in there,

or you could ask your RFD to sell it for you as a comission sale, but your pay atleast 10% of the sale price.

Nice rifle indeed! It would sell quick I reckon as I saw people spending money on wanted adds on gun star for them!

Gun star is a bit poo now and really the only way to get views is to pay about £8 or something for the bumpable sale.

I know my local rfd offer 10% commission sale

That's a quirky but brilliant rifle there, and in .177? Awesome.

I'd say keep it for fun, but I'm such a hoarder. Need to free up some cash from my collection to pay the 'leccy bill currently... Hope you get the right price for it, it's a cracker mate. Really unusual.

Get it listed for the sake of droolers. Start high so you know the score. Last one at auction flew if memory serves. Will try and find the result.
Have you thought about a swap ad. on here/there!! you may get what you want with some tinkering either way. Good luck.

Tell your Dad he's brilliant but nuts!! :D
