1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

Normally I'd take exception at the postie waking me up at 7:15 in a morning but today I didn't mind.
I've purchased another classic HW50, this time I took the plunge and got it from egun in Germany.
In total the rifle cost me exactly £100 to my door and it is in superb condition, all that is left is to swap the trigger for a rekord unit (which I have) and then I have another little belter.
The stock is oiled and that shine really is real! the screw heads look like that have never been undone so hoping that I don't find a pile of rust underneath.
For anyone not wise to the HW50, its a classic, reported to H.Weihrauch's favourite springer, I have another doing over 11FPE! but that has some massive alterations inside. the 50 is basically a HW55 without the manual barrel lock and with more power, being 25mm piston its not too bad in terms of efficiency, any spring gun fans out there owe it to themselves to shoot one.

Rare as hens teeth over here but come up now and again on egun.
Just checked the serial and this one is a 1980 vintage, there is no wear to the the cylinder where the cocking arm rides against nor the barrel shims, this has hardly been used, the other plus to weihrauchs of this vintage is the quality cross hatch honing to the cylinders, you can just see it through the slot

This one has been a difficult rifle to tune, I struggled like hell to get any more than 8fpe from it despite doing a precautionary leaky breech fix, almost by accident I noticed the transfer port had been drilled on the p**s and didn't line up with the barrel. The fix was thanks to some advice from Wonkydonkey 'drill the hole out and tap it M10 and loctite some brass thread in' that's one fecking big hole to be drilling through the breech face but drill it I did, using some pretty serious bearing lock I fixed the thread into place.
Now all I had to do was re-drill the transfer port, as I had another 50 I used that to plot the angle of attack, it also allowed me drill it 2.9mm instead of the 3.175 that it came with.
It's all back together now, shooting H&N FTT 4.52 at 11FPE and is simply superb to shoot, considering how light the gun is, it takes some believing what it spits pellets out at.
Here is a pic of it finished next to my other HW50 in a home made target stock
Thanks go to Wonky for his marvel of a spring and advice on the port repair and of course to Bigtoe who's specs lead to this little gem giving up 11fpe:up:
