90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

I reckon it would be a close run contest between Murray and Lewis Hamilton for Sports Personality Bypass of the year.

I think you are being a tad harsh. Yes, his voice has a monotonic tone! Yes, he did come across as a tad Scottish nationalistic, but I still say I feel sorry for his perceived loss of his sport to him.

We should also remember that he was caught up in the Dunblane atrocity, I wonder what that incident did to him?

    We are all built different!

Barry Sheen was an inspiration as is Billy Monger but we all can't have the skill, and charismatic charm of those two individuals. Losing the ability to use the skill that one was once excellent at must soul destroying.

I am not rich, I shoot competitively, I have controlled glaucoma; I would heart broken if I had to give up shooting!

I am sorry to hear that and I agree up to a point but we wouldn’t have to hear you weeping about it on the national news. He should know when to shut up and think of the countless people who are really suffering.

Whatever anyone thinks of Andy Murray, he went through things that no 8 year old child should have to go through.

He’s never really talked about it, or used it to get sympathy, etc.

I personally hold Andy in far higher regard than some other sportsmen/women (e.g. Lewis Hamilton who recently referred to his hometown of Stevenage as a ‘slum’)...

Yes its probably the end of a brilliant career and he's done so well but it's hardly a third world problem .
He'll have to find something else to do and console himself with his well deserved mansion and millions.

Meanwhile the country is at a precipice so I'm much more interested in what our future holds.

There are a lot of other people that have done more and suffered more . my respect goes to all the Veterans that helped defend this Country and our way of life , that are now disabled in one way or another , while "sports people" sleep safely in their beds at night

I wish I were able to a) be in a sport that received national news recognition, b) had worked my way to a position in the aforesaid sport deserving of aforesaid recognition!

I don't, I shoot FT/TR:thumb: But, regardless of this I would still be heart broken losing my ability due to health issues. Just because cameras were not in my face, it would not negate my sense of loss.

I understand perfectly the sadness over no longer being able to take part in a sport or hobby. What I didn't like was all the emotional incontinence that looked almost stage managed to gain maximum sympathy. He is a millionaire sportsman who has had ample time to consider his future once his playing days are over. I didn't feel at all sorry for him.

Wotsup wiv u man, balling like a girl on tv, get a grip! :(

Boo Hoo, I'm a multi millionaire, and I'll probably make a few more million with tv work, etc, oh life is hard, wo is me!
What an utter sack tw*t. I can't feel sorry for someone in that position.

I used to like him, and you can't argue with his record, he has done well in this era of tennis against other (mostly better) top players, but, then he goes and spoils it all by outing himself (the night before) the Jocks independence referendum.
He should have remained neutral, he only made a rod for his back when he made his statement.
    What a tit....

He should have retired a couple of years ago, when he was still at (or near) the top.
