1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

its not been the best weekend for me at all after some bad news regarding a family member,i decided today though i just had to get out the house for an bit,i knew my 80 needed zeroing and still needed a few more shots through it to bed the rifle in so i decided to have an hour up at the local range
i was useing jsb jumbo express pellets 14.35gr/5.52 as i know these were clinical in my tuned 95 but with the 80 i was pulling my hair out,i knew the gun was somewhere around zeroed but could i hell get these to group,i was sure it was me though with my head not been fully into it but admittantly there were a few times i felt like grabbing the rifle by the barrel and throwing it down range at the target
then i remembered i'd got a few other tins of pellets in the glove box of the van so decided to give them a try...
    h&n ftt 5.53 =crap
    accupells=crap
then i came to jsb jumbo diablo 15.88gr/5.52
these pellets transformed the rifle not only with the accuracy but the noticably smoother fireing cycle, now this rifle has had some major work on the internals including transfer port opened to 3.6,short stroked and piston lightened ect but these pellets i feel are the final part of the tune
after a little more fine tuning i set a paper target at 30y
    [IMG]

now bearing in mind im useing a far inferior 2-8x32 scope  compared to the hubble type telescopes you normally find on the range

i did a 6 shot grouping, originally intended to be 5 but i had a flyer (or maybe just a poor shot)

admittantly i think the poi needed shifting down another click or 2 but the point here is im useing a .22 springer here at 30y with a 2-8x32 scope and heres the results useing a £1 coin to compare, ive seen folk with pcp's and massive scopes with worse groupings so just goes to show how accurate springers can be,and bearing in mind ive not really done much shooting since last winter at all
    [IMG]

i did a grouping at 50y to but i forgot to take a picture, the scope is parralexed to 30y so at 50y its just starting to go blurry but i found the last circle of the nikon ret was bang on,my grouping wasnt as tight but i assure you all 5 shots were in the black which in the real world is still the kill zone

Sounds like Falcon Accuracy plus would well worth a try Martin.

    "far inferior 2-8x32 scope"

I think you should give your scope more credit matey sounds like and ideal springer scope to me.

jsb are some very good quality pellets and allways my first port of call in a new rifle,i used to use the diablo's in my hw100 and the express in my 95 with clinical results,i find it surprising though that such a small difference in weight can make such a big difference in accuracy,i can only think its to do with the way the air is purged out with the larger tp size and larger 30mm piston in the 80 as the power is roughly the same as the 95 was putting out but that was a 26mm piston and standard tp,theres no diffence in an 80 or 95 barrel from what i know
i do remember shooting an fac pcp though, any pellet less than 18gr you could see the pellet veer off in a spiral motion when shooting on the lamp, air arms diablo used to do this but the air arms diablo heavy were very accurate in it

i keep meaning to give these a try as i do keep hearing good reports on them, ill have to order some off the interweb though as they dont sell them im my local rfd,to be honest though im very happy with the jsb at the min,the scope was a little sarcasm :D as it seems to be the norm to stick a massive scope on any rifle these days, that little scope is a nikon monarch 3 bdc ret:up:
