1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

To close this box once you've read it (and the Rules), click on the X in the top right-hand corner.

    Thank you.

    Forum Rules

    User names.
Do not make any username that has a swear word, racist or would be considered rude and offensive. You will be automatically banned if you do this.

    Multiple Accounts.
You may not make multiple accounts, if you do all your accounts may be banned.

    Behaviour
Do not make inappropriate or offensive posts - including threats, harassment, swearing, prejudice, slander or deliberate insults/name-calling, or other negative remarks about this forum, its moderators and administrators, or your fellow members.
Even if this is just your own personal opinion, RESPECT YOUR FELLOW MEMBERS.

    Posting
Do not Post the same topic in multiple forums.
If you are unsure of which forum a thread should go under, just state that in your post, and a moderator will move the thread to the correct forum.
Multiple posts are unnecessary and will be deleted.

    Stay On Topic
Topics and discussions shall be placed in the most appropriate forum and shall be relevant to the purpose of this forum. Threads started in the wrong forum will be moved (with or without notice) and off-topic threads or otherwise useless threads will be deleted or moved.
Posts in the Airgun section must remain on topic, any off topic post will be removed without warning.

Mobile sms type text: Do not type your posts in text speak, please use English words we can all understand.

Quoting Images/Videos: Do not quote people with images or videos in their post. Edit them out of your quote.

Quoting Long Posts: Quoting a whole guide or extremely long posts in your post and then commenting on it is just pointless and a waste of space. If there is a certain part of the quote you would like to refer to while comment, quote the original quote and then delete the parts that are not important that you are not referring to.

Short Posts: Try to avoid one or two word posts.

Do not post the same question multiple times in multiple threads in the same forum.
If no one responds to your question or request, just post a reply to the same message thread again to bring the message to the top of the list so that other forum users notice it.
Even though this is an international forum, please make sure that your posts are written in English.

    GRAPHIC VERMIN KILL IMAGES
Only posts pictures of dead animals in the hunting section, then those who don't wish to see them won't have to while reading general airgun topics.

    Sales Rules

All new sales/swap threads will not show until approved by a member of staff, please make sure you have filled out your name and address in your sellers profile field. (This is a private field that can only be seen by admin) Alternatively you can use or change your registered email address to an Internet service provider email.

(Realistic Imitation Firearms) Do not advertise for sale or wanted realistic imitation firearms on Airgunforum.co.uk, these include airsoft replicas, blank firing guns, model guns, but does not include airguns, de-activated firearms or antique firearms.
A realistic imitation firearm means an imitation firearm which—

    (a) Has an appearance that is so realistic as to make it indistinguishable, for all practical purposes, from a real firearm; and
    (b) Is neither a de-activated firearm nor itself an antique.
More information on the VCRA can be found HERE

    (Listing)
Do not list items for sale or swap on this forum that you have listed elsewhere.
This was introduced as multiple cross forum listings causes many problems and especially when a user says i'll take it, only to be told it was sold on another forum.
All items advertised on airgunforum.co.uk must be available "Exclusively" to our members, so by advertising elsewhere you can not guarantee your item would be available.
You can however list items if you have multiples of the same items, or you are making multiples of items for sale.
Users who list elsewhere as well as here will get their add deleted, they may also receive a one month ban.
All sales threads should have a photo of the item with your name and date on.
Do not list items for sale on behalf of other people, you must own the item that is for sale.

    FAC Rated Items

    * All FAC rated items must be clearly marked as such in the advert, and must only be available to FAC licence holders
    * All sales must be "Face to Face" or via a RFD
    * All FAC sales must contain a picture of the offered item
    * Any FAC offered from out side of these rules will result in a Ban and/or reporting to your local Police if deemed appropriate

Animals all sales/trade/swaps of live animals/reptiles are not be allowed on this forum.

(Reply's) Do not post reply's on someone's post by saying something that decreases their probability of a sale/swap, also do not post replys unless your are interested in buying the item.

(Buyer/s) First to say they will have it by PM or on the for sale thread gets the item at the advertised price.

(Price) You must state a price or ballpark figure when selling an item, you can put open to offers with a (offers around £) price.

    (Updating)
You must update your thread on a regular basis, if it's still for sale please keep other members informed by adding a post to your thread. Once sold make a post stating that your item is now sold then admin will update your thread to include (SOLD) in the title.

    (Deleting/Editing threads)
Never delete or edit out a for sale add, just put an update post in your thread with the reason, if it does not sell in the time scale you wanted you can put no longer for sale or withdrawn from sale as a new post.

    (Power)
It is not permitted to discuss power modifications on the open forum, or decreasing power as reverse engineering may lead to potential problems

(Under 18's) No one under the age of 18 is allowed to buy or sell airguns via this forum, it is your responsibility to ensure the buyer/seller is 18 or over, Airgunforum.co.uk will not be held liable as all forum sales are between private individuals.
