90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

Hi, what's the latest thoughts on the air arms ftp900. Iv seen on other sites they have problems with the air regulator.
But they might have sorted this by now.
Also there's not alot of information on the air arms hft 500. Has any one shot one and are they accurate .can they out shoot the hw100. Can the ftp900 out shoot the legendary hw100. Many thanks Chris

Whever gun you buy you can have issues.

But surely its not about accuracy anymore its about fit when it comes to target shooting.

So as the old saying goes what is one mans beef maybe anothers poison.

That's why I got rid of it,even though it would adjust every way you can think of I couldn't get settled/comfortable with it for hft.
theres 2 at my club ftps my old one,and another,no issues with either rifle.ive heard/read about all the problems before and since I had mine, iam sure for every bad one there's several more with no issues.Though maybe Air Arms should have tested it longer before releasing to public,I believe the same thing happened with the ev2.
Ive always fancied a walther, think one of those is next on my to try list.

Having had three flawless R-10's I understand that not all the stories about failures should be taken as gospel but knowing a few owners of the FTP I have to admit that I would avoid one. The two owners I know and several guys on the circuit have had issues from day one (leaking) and my dealer had a total of 12 replaced by Air Arms. Six were returned by customers and six that were in the stock-room which they were not prepared to sell. That's a damning record for any flagship rifle.

Very accurate at 20 yards it'll put 5 through same hole as 1 handles v good once set for you. At hft it's hard to miss at 45 yards no it's or buts it's prob the best aa I've shot ever and I've shoot a few over the last 30 yrs

Sorry about resurrecting the dead, but now more time has passed which do people think is the most accurate on the bench between the FTP900 and the HFT500 ( in its sweet spot) out to say 55 yds as most quality Pcp's can put pellet on pellet at 20 yds.
    Regards,

I have the hft500 and I am very impressed by it it is very consistent for a unregulated rifle.
I was interested in the ftp900 until airarms released the price for a lefthander £300 more than the righthander.

My problem is some of the top shots at our club had the ftp900 and swapped them for the hft 500 saying they were more accurate and as some of them are getting on a bit, the FTP weight was an issue as well ( not a prob for me) . I really want the FTP for its vertical target grip , trigger, general fit and looks but can't sacrifice ultimate accuracy as that is what matters the most at the end of the day. I only need 30-40 highly accurate shots between fills so technically both are contenders. It really comes down to ftp900 reg consistency vs hft500 sweet spot consistency.
I'm hoping someone has experience of both and can advise :)

I bought an FTP 900 about a month or so ago, I've done around 500 shots testing pellets, and it's doing 5p groups of several different ones at 40m. TBH, it's probably better than that as I'm probably holding it back! Quality is good, fit is good, just wish it was a bit quieter?

From what i can gather the 500 has the same barrel as the 900.

I have the HFT500 and I like it, stock is good but seeing a test by Terry Doe, he says don't buy one unless you're prepared to make the stock fit you, spend time adjusting it to suit, that's as may be but the amount of positions I've found myself in leaves me questioning his comments.
