1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

  5. Postings on Politics, Religion & Controversial Off-Topic Material

The majority of users do not want to read about these subjects and people have left the forum as a result of it – this is after all an 'Airgun' Forum. It’s all very well to say they don’t have to read it if they don't want to, but as most of us use the ‘New Posts’ button there is no easy way to avoid it.

All AGF staff members are in favour of people being able to discuss what they want, but we have to draw the line somewhere if it is upsetting other users. We don’t want to read about these topics either.

IMPORTANT- The discussion of politics and religion is no longer allowed anywhere on the forum (including the Adult section).  The only exception is if it's airgun related - they must be put in the Airgun Related Politics section..

We will not tolerate bullying or personal attacks, racism or any other offensive 'isms'. we will remove these topics from the forum, we will not give you an area where you can abuse each other. We will not hesitate to ban offenders.

    Hi Paul,

one apology is fine and i accept that one offs happen from time to time. i was just a little disappointed that the potential of a new customer, that could becomes a regular and spend thousands is just bumped off quicker than it took to dial your number. Fortunately i managed to get the AGT Compact from BAR and it was RFD to my local today; i paid more but the communication and helpfulness with them wont get forgotten.

if i get out of work and home before you shut at 17:00 i will give you a call, and not just be a keyboard warrior :thumb:

As would I, preferably before Tuesday LOL. :D
I will be shouldering both the Vulcan and the Uragan on Tuesday morning all being well, with the intention of buying one or the other. I would be interested in your thoughts on the Uragan as an owner. I know it's early days but every little helps to aid me make the right decision :thumb:

I’ll get a little play with it and let you know.
The Vulcan 2 is an amazing bit of kit so you won’t go wrong there otherwise.

The only problem I have is no RFD near me stocks AGT and spending £1200 on a rifle I've never seen in the flesh is a HUGE gamble

Very sensible and I would have to agree. However I have done it on numerous occasions , lately with the H5A and the Ripley but with used items time is a major factor where as you can afford to take time and consider your options.

Couldn't agree more, only around 1 hours drive for me to get to BAR from just outside Manc' & would love to get hands on with a Vulcan 2 Tactic and the Uragan full length, not found anyone closer who stocks these. Would also love to get to grips with a Sapsan but looks like at least a month or 2 before they start turning up.
Really wanted an FX Dreamline Lite with carbon buddy but they're now put back to September or October according to Livens website & my local RFD, failing the Lite i would've gone for the new S510R TDR had AA had the good sense to have added a power adjuster.
Only other fancy for me is a regulated Verminator MK2 but would still prefer to give one a try out, and it's a pity FX are too tight to throw in a spare mag' & mod' as standard given the hyped Daystate style prices for not just the gun but also those extras.
Oh well, will just have to keep trawling, good luck with your search & hope that if you do have to take a punt without a try out that it's love at first sight (& feel) with whatever you go for.

Just had our email confirmation to say the Uragans will be delivered tomorrow. Most of them are now spoken for though, apart from some .22s.
We also have some Vulcan 2s being delivered as well.

It's a sickener when you can't find what you want within reasonable distance to give it try out, not looking too great north of Manchester at the moment for my wish list either, but one huge positive is an extremely kind offer to try a Vulcan 2 Tactic from sparkyman is on the books so hope to get that sorted sometime this week as i couldn't get to his local club yesterday, i've a nasty suspicion it'll be too heavy for my needs due to the old glass back but only a proper feel will tell for sure & it'll also give me an heads up on the Uragan weight wise if it is a problem.
The Zbroia Sapsan production has apparently only just really gotten underway, FX Dreamline's are now showing as September or October or possibly later and so far not found any full length Uragan's near enough for try out.
I've now kicked the Brocock Commander into touch & can't afford to risk £1200+ on an S510R TDR until it's been around long enough to see how the huge number of seals hold up (not happy AA didn't fit a power adjuster either).
As far as a Verminator MK2 goes no shops going to order one in just to let me try it out, however the Vermy's been around long enough that an opportunity could arise at any moment. Going to do another trawl of the web & round of phone calls to see if anyone within reasonable distance has got or is getting any of the currently released guns i'm looking at anytime soon though.

Failing any local luck i may look at a few days away somewhere that's within approx' an hour & half driving distance of a few places with stocks in if it's at all possible, depending on the price of some digs & if the number of guns available to try makes it worthwhile.
Only other option i'm now considering is to get hold of a much cheaper gun to use whilst waiting for the new stuff to come along & be properly tried & tested, would of course look for something with a good rep' as close to my wish list guns as possible plus the advantage would be i'd have more time to save more cash towards a premium bit of kit without losing more shooting time.
If your within 2 hours of a stockist i feel it'd be a worthwhile trip as Tim_B suggests to get a proper feel before parting with the big bucks, good luck & happy hunting.

Been off line for a few days sick as dog so just catching up a bit & letting folk know I've sorted myself a nice bit of kit until the end of the year or start of next year.
Will do a new post with details of what i reckon was a very nice deal on a couple of HW110's & some nice extras, then keep that post updated if & when required.
    Happy shooting all.
