1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

  5. Postings on Politics, Religion & Controversial Off-Topic Material

The majority of users do not want to read about these subjects and people have left the forum as a result of it – this is after all an 'Airgun' Forum. It’s all very well to say they don’t have to read it if they don't want to, but as most of us use the ‘New Posts’ button there is no easy way to avoid it.

All AGF staff members are in favour of people being able to discuss what they want, but we have to draw the line somewhere if it is upsetting other users. We don’t want to read about these topics either.

IMPORTANT- The discussion of politics and religion is no longer allowed anywhere on the forum (including the Adult section).  The only exception is if it's airgun related - they must be put in the Airgun Related Politics section..

We will not tolerate bullying or personal attacks, racism or any other offensive 'isms'. we will remove these topics from the forum, we will not give you an area where you can abuse each other. We will not hesitate to ban offenders.

Powder burners, are for those who cant be bothered to learn field craft. Field craft is for the hard core , Airgunners. The proper way to get back to nature :thumb:
Getting close to the Quarry, is part of the fun. Blasting quarry at 150 yards plus, no feild craft needed whatsoever.

Ever seen the fields in Norfolk, Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire? Getting closer than 200 ft does take lots of field craft! The only cover is the furrows or drainage ditches....

Springer shooters are all old farts that still put 20p in the back of the tv to make it work.
The same people that wash their clothes in the local river on a washboard and probably left school when they were 12 to go and work on a fair with travellers or down the pit with their families.

Pcp shooters are people that have evolved with society and embrace change and technology and have a desire to succeed in life and be the best they can be along with the equipment they use.
They also have penises and Springer shooters have vaginas :D:D

Ps...I own both before anyone starts :thumb::p:D
    Hermaphrodite?? :confused::confused:

You can tell when a pcp shooter turns up to a range, you're all there happily shooting quietly when all of a sudden a Subaru impreza arrives, handbrake turn into the car park, blue but with one red door, impatiently uses his horn (which plays la cucaracha) because someone won't move quick enough.
Theure the type of bloke who uses a bait boat while carp fishing & bang his bivvy pegs in with a 2lb foundry hammer.
Always turning up to ruin the ambiance.

My sentiments as well,iv'e said before on here that i that these springer devotees are still driving around in there Morris Oxfords, Ford Zephyrs or Anglias etc.;):D. As for that remark about,"they don't make cars like that anymore" which having spent most of my working life in the motor trade i often heard that said by people not in the trade and yes we should be eternally grateful because compared to new/modern day cars they were a pile of crap.
Having said that i must confess i do own a couple of springers and i do enjoy shooting them occasionally.

I can see where you’re coming from on this, springer shooters tend to be older, wiser, not swayed by gimmicks or sensationalism, we know quality when we see it because through experience we have learned this, yes I left school at 15, I respectfully disagree with you on the genitalia question owing to the fact that I have a colossal Penis that over the years has given me a bad back, trying to counter balance it with my body.

I respectfully suggest you may have got this the wrong way round and it’s pcp shooters that have vaginas, and also there is another word for that!!

I live in Cambridgeshire, two of my shoots are less, than a five min drive. I can get within 15 yards of my quarry. :finger: I've got Woodlands too.

    You are indeed correct sir.
Springer shooters are of an age where the most exciting thing in their life is being a member of the local neighbourhood watch group and maybe getting a dashcam and posting videos of others driving up to youtube.
The sort that has no urgency as they know that life is passing them by quickly and they have to keep a hold of distant memories to feel any emotion apart from the empathy and bitterness of old age.
The sort of people that chunter at pcp owners for being able to shoot accurately past 50 yards whilst their pellets barely punch through paper at 20yds.
A Springer shooter is the sort of man that sits down to urinate and shamelessly thumbs through their wife's copy of Bella magazine.
A pcp shooter is plain and simply a man..a big hairy man that stands up to urinate and has no shame in leaving the seat up.
A man that has no time to cock a heavy old fashioned spring operated contraption and prefers the technology and accuracy of modern day equipment.
A pcp shooter is a man that wants to be the best and is of an age where nostalgia is of little significance....as he has barely reached his middle ages yet.

    Stop it now :D:D:p

Ps...I wonder if back in the day there was the same between springer shooters and musket shooters?
Both are crap anyway out past 30yds :p:D
