1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

  5. Postings on Politics, Religion & Controversial Off-Topic Material

The majority of users do not want to read about these subjects and people have left the forum as a result of it – this is after all an 'Airgun' Forum. It’s all very well to say they don’t have to read it if they don't want to, but as most of us use the ‘New Posts’ button there is no easy way to avoid it.

All AGF staff members are in favour of people being able to discuss what they want, but we have to draw the line somewhere if it is upsetting other users. We don’t want to read about these topics either.

IMPORTANT- The discussion of politics and religion is no longer allowed anywhere on the forum (including the Adult section).  The only exception is if it's airgun related - they must be put in the Airgun Related Politics section..

We will not tolerate bullying or personal attacks, racism or any other offensive 'isms'. we will remove these topics from the forum, we will not give you an area where you can abuse each other. We will not hesitate to ban offenders.

I study GCSE R.S and i spent three months learning about the different creation theroys and arguements. After these three months i personally think it is impossible to tell if . exists. Every arguement makes sense ie william paleys watch arguement, cosmoligicol arguement , Charles Darwins theory of evolution but for every arguement there is a counter arguement disproving this ! This makes everything extremelly confusing so therefore i am agnostic.

You have been starting some very deep threads lately haven't you James!

Well many think . is some kind of magnificent person who lives in another dimension that gave us life, personally I cant believe that.

I go down the scientific route however I don't throw . aside.
you hear of people finding . or Jesus in prison and so on (don't know what Jesus is doing in prison I thought he was a good lad)!:D

on a serious note . to me is a mental thing.
Its a part of the brain that leads us to believe in a powerful figure that can give us strength and will power, someone to keep us safe in times of danger and lend us help in times of need.

I think its a way of our minds to trick ourselves into making things happen.
you hear of people giving up drugs thanks to .
I think its their brain going to this place giving them this belief in a . which takes the mind away from the craving.

We think we understand the brain but how can we understand the thing that controls us.
how can you study something that controls you and makes you who you are.

. is inside all of us and is where we go in times of low down.
It gives us someone to blame when someone we love dies
Gives us strength in times of weakness
gives us hope in times of despair.
gives us a light at the end of a tunnel to reach.

Did . make the earth, did it make us?
No I think we all are .

Since this time last year I have been struck with illness after illness.

It began 3 years ago when my legs started to "burn" when I walked any distance. 2 years ago I started to have tests. Last Jan I was diagnosed as having peripheral vascular disease, just about the same time I was diagnosed as diabetic. I'm type 2 diabetic but have to take insulin. Last May I was to go into hospital for an aorto bi femoral by-pass. 3 days before the op I was taken into a&e with a pain in my shoulder, my blood pressure was 188/90 and cholesterol was off the scale, the op was called off.
After taking 40+ tabs a day to bring my vital signs under control I was given a date of July 7th for the op. The night before the op it was called off again as the anaesthetist found something wrong with my heart. I waited a week for a bed in Stoke to have a double heart by-pass.

I was moved on Sun 13th to Stoke for the op on the Mon. I was due to go down at 1pm but at 2.30pm it was called off, the guy before me didn't make it.
I had my op finally on the Wed.

Since July I've been recovering. Thurs just gone I had a nuclear medicine scan. A digusting thing to go through. A drug injected into my heart over 6 minutes and then a radioactive isotope injected, then I was scanned an hour later. I have to have another one on Monday.

All being well, I go into hospital on Wed for the Aorto Bi Femoral by-pass on Thurs. A leaflet they've given me says a normal fit and healthy person stands a 1 in 20 chance of dying iduring the proceedure. This op is huge, equally as big as the heart by-pass and my odds are a lot shorter than a normal fit person.

.? I got a good chance of meeting him on Thursday if there is a . and when I do....................I'll headbutt him.

    Obviously I'm a non believer.
