1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

Even if this is just your own personal opinion, RESPECT YOUR FELLOW MEMBERS.'

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

  5. Postings on Politics, Religion & Controversial Off-Topic Material

The majority of users do not want to read about these subjects and people have left the forum as a result of it – this is after all an 'Airgun' Forum. It’s all very well to say they don’t have to read it if they don't want to, but as most of us use the ‘New Posts’ button there is no easy way to avoid it.

All AGF staff members are in favour of people being able to discuss what they want, but we have to draw the line somewhere if it is upsetting other users. We don’t want to read about these topics either.

IMPORTANT- The discussion of politics and religion is no longer allowed anywhere on the forum (including the Adult section).  The only exception is if it's airgun related - they must be put in the Airgun Related Politics section..

We will not tolerate bullying or personal attacks, racism or any other offensive 'isms'. we will remove these topics from the forum, we will not give you an area where you can abuse each other. We will not hesitate to ban offenders.

Needing to have a clear out for finances so trimming back some of my rifles.

    Up for sale:
    - Parker Hale Phoenix MK1 carbine in .22
Comes with 2 x multishot mag, 1 x bottle and bottle fitting tool. Beautiful wood on the rifles stock, can't see any damage etc as has been very lightly used.
    £500 for rifle only.

    - Parker Hale Phoneix MK2 full length rifle in .22
Comes with 1 x multishot mag, 1 x bottle and fitting tool. There is some slight wearing to the metal work around the magazine loading port from loading in the dark, could probably just be refinished easily if it bothers you, there are a few little dings to the stock near the cheek piece, these are small enough to easily steam out, I can do this for you if you want but will be delayed as I'm busy with a work training course next week. Generally nice condition rifle, just being honest.
    £500 for rifle only.

    - BSA ultra MMC in .177
This is the nicer wood stocked edition. Comes with 2 x mutlishot mags, 1 x fold out single shot adapter, upgraded titanium cylinder which gives a 30% reduction in weight but a higher shot count and a higher possible fill pressure, depinger fitted, fill adapter, sling studs fitted.
Recently had a full service and the hammer spring replaced for a tuning one to give full power without the hammer bounce.
Generally good condition with just a bit of wear around the magazine loading port again and a small chip out of the stock near the butt pad, I can fill and refinish this patch if you wanted but once again would be delayed due to work commitments.
£400 for rifle only. *now sold*

I can do postage no problem at the usual risk and costs to the buyer.
If you're after a silencer, scope or bipod (ultra is only one with sling studs fitted) we can factor one into a deal as I have a number of spare ones available.

*fresh coat of walnut oil applied for pictured to show you the grain of the wood as good as possible*

Approved - please ensure you follow the sales rules; especially the key points below.

    Sales Rules - Important Information

    Sellers

    - Please ensure that your item is available for sale only on Airgun Forum.
    - Be sure to check for activity at least once every 24 hours. It's best to click on 'Watch Thread' to be automatically alerted to any new posts.
    - First refusal at the asking / agreed price must go to the first member who commits to buy on the thread by posting "I'll take it" or similar. This takes precedent over anything otherwise agreed by PM.
    - Please keep threads updated with progress and please state "sold" when the transaction is complete so that the thread can be moved to the Sales Graveyard.

    Buyers
    - If you wish to buy the item state this on the thread - first to say they will have the item in the sales thread gets the item at the advertised or agreed price.

Failure to follow these rules will result in temporary or permanent exclusion from the sales section or entire forum.

Thank you for your cooperation and good luck with the sale :)

Also forgot to mention, I'm away this weekend camping in the south Yorkshire dales national park, so if anyone is genuinely interested I'm happy to drive down from South shields to Leeds area and meet up somewhere along the way.

    Oh, so tempting!

Excuse my ignorance but what is the main.mechanical difference between the Mk1 and Mk2 Phoenix?
    Shot count?

The shot count on the mk2 is slightly higher as it its bottle has a higher fill pressure, apart from that it's the magazines. The MK1 uses the old style BSA magazines, the MK2 they brought out their own design of magazines instead. You can still get the new style magazines from PAX too.

To tell you how good they are I actually have 3 of them and decides to keep the .177 as I had already mapped the aim points with my NV scope. :thumb:

One last bump before being advertised elsewhere as I'll not be dropping the price on these two, worth every penny.

I've added some more detailed pictures so you can see the quality of the rifles and the wood used.

    Hi,

How would you package the rifles for posting?

Would you be willing to deliver to HD6 2LT for a fee?

    Cheers

The rifles would be depressurised for safety, I would then either wrap the rifle whole or remove the rear stock (if you have allen keys to reattach it, if not I'll keep it whole). Rifle will be wrapped in bubble wrap, then cardboard, packaged into a solid industrial cardboard box and secured with packaging material, finally it will be wrapped in a waterproof packaging on the off chance it is exposed to water during transit. Rifle will be posted via parcel force 48 express as they will carry air rifles.

Postage is no problem, it would be about £15 to post to you. :thumb:
