90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

Does anyone on these forums own a gun in .25 calibre ?

If so, I'm wondering what they're like for general shooting - if I get one, I'll be using it for rats and targets of sorts.

Get back if you know anything about this,

    James.

.25 is only good for close range shooting a sub FAC power. because of the weight of the pellet they had a trajectory like a rainbow.
perhaps the best ratting calibre though;)

Hi PW,I've got a HW80 .25 used exclusively for rats.
Yes,it has a "rainbonic" trajectory but it doesn't mean it's less accurate at longer ranges, you just need to be better at hold over/under(not that I'm any good):D.
It's got a Simmons 1.5-5x32 shotgun scope zeroed at 15m and a laser zeroed at 6', plus lamp.
Most of my rats are indoors and real close and nasty.
I've had it for about 18 months and have shot well over 1000 rats.
Biggest bag is 63 in 3 hours, geeze that made my arm ache.

I'd be using mine mainly for out doors so the trajectory could be a problem.

I think I'll stick with .22 for the moment - thanks for the feedback.

Hi, .25 should be ok for hide shooting when you know your ranges are semi fixed.
Bagged a new shoot on a MASSIVE racecourse:),(no paperwork yet).
Going to try it up there, over several long ranges
