Hello if i were u prob best to buy a new hills stirrup pump of sheffield £139. Think website is airriflepump.co.uk or .com but not 100% sure. I paid above £100 for one and seal has gone twice already which i have replaced but now looks a mess after having to use hammer to seperate the pump. Other best option is a bottle from godive at derby cheapest place i could find. I would have sold you my pump for £50 but now looks a mess and would noyt really like to sell it as bloody seal would prob go again. best to pay bit more for the hills one good luck which ever way you go.
ps mine wasn't a hills pump i should have paid an extra £20 and bought one ( learn by others mistakes lol ).

hi there, thanks for your honesty, ive been offered a few on here, no-one seems to sell the hills pump so must be good quality. i think ill take your advice and get a new hills pump that way i get a warranty too. any advice as to getting the one with the dry pack? dont really know much about them. i was thinking of going down the dive bottle route but wanted a means to re-fill when im out as the ultra has a low shot count?(plenty for hunting but sometimes i like to set a few targets up too) cheers for your post much appreciated definatly made my mind up. (hills pump it is)

Although the dry pack says 90% dry air which I believe to be true you have to replace it I think every 6 or 9 months. I would buy it without to be honest but when pumping only do about 30 pumps os so then bleed the air. This will eliminate more moisture and prolong the life of the seals in the pump. HIlls have a good reputation I was going to buy one but have only this week bought a 3ltr bottle as sick of the pump that I bought. If you buy the pump stop pumping if pump becomes hot but if you are using it on am ultra I don't think that this would be hard to charge anyway as a small cylinder. ALso don't use pump outdoors if wet or damp. Regards Simon.
