    Looks Like muzzy76 is spot on (see next post) its an iron target he hit!

    They were shooting at a metal plate target. It didn't hit a rock. Just after the shot you can hear it impact the metal and towards the end they say "no more iron" as in, metal plates.

    Lucky sod anyway.
