i always prefer paper targets, i can see exactly where iv shot and get some strange satisfaction at looking at them later on?
i like the metal targets tht u knock down then knock back up but for zeroin a scope there not helpfull really.

Rock hard jelly babies against a card background.
Can follow your sighting shots in until the jelly baby shatters.
Personally I prefer the lynch style, wire around the (jelly babys) neck and a drawing pin to hang from![]()
loving the suggestions will probably try that one myself,
ok as for abstract things iv shot would be match sticks, and i once knicked a bowling pin an shot at tht.
my preferred target is close to empty aerosol cans. i get plenty of them as the missus loves to clean.
toilet roll with paper still on. i like to see how far the pellet gos in![]()
Pigeons. Never usually find the pellet tho
For Zero I just use normal card targets, 1-6. Or a blank A4 page with a small dot in middle. Usually I can follow my turret turns an see the pellets get closer to the dot on each shot.
Catalogues are best for penetration tests!![]()

White sugar lumps cheap as chips and small enough at 60mtrs to be a challenge. Put a load out, say four at each range marker 10-25-35 and so on then see with a couple of mates who gets most and the fastest. hit them square on and they explode into dust.
Excellent rangefinding exercise, and maddening when you are just about to pull the trigger and your sugarlump explodes from someone elses shot.
