A good idea that I use, for practising elevated shots into trees, is to pop a small hole in a ping pong ball, fill it with melted wax and then stuff a length of cord in before it hardens. Do the same at the other end of the cord and then toss it into a tree. The cord wraps around a branch leaving you with 2 cheap targets to practice on.

Cocktail stirring sticks with the round paddle and long shaft.

I paint them white with a black dot in the centre.

You can walk your range and stick them in at various distances and you can also attach extra strong mints to them too with a little glue for a good powder explosion!

Normally i just draw my own circle style target on A4 paper then tape it to a thick bit of chipboard .. Current bit of chipboard is almost shot through lol ... if gun is zeroed then i have been known to shoot just about anything. crappy Plastic model cars e.t.c probably my favourite ... great fun shooting the wheels, windows n that.

Just found a seller called tarianmarks on ebay, didnt think you could get these anymore ordered a box of 240 for 8 quid. Also been using the birchwood casey shoot'n'c targets which are great but a bit on the expensive side and they can only be repaired so much. My favourite at the moment is an SMk shooting gallery (knockdown buffalos), may have to try getting some old action force figures from ebay!
