Hi
I'm looking at getting into the sport and am interested in target shooting (probably bench rest).
Spoke to a chap at Paul Lane yesterday who seemed a bit vague but said pop down saturday to see someone? He didn't mention who and mumbled something about pheasant shooting?!
Anyways to the point. Is there anyone on here who shoots at Paul Lane who could point me in the right direction as to who'm i need to speak to.
You know how it is when you want to get into something as you can end up looking/ feeling a right plank.
Any help would be much appreciated
Paul
As far as I know they have an airgun evening every week, never been myself heard its a bit too formal.
There are two airgun clubs near the M1 emley and redferns.
Thanks Andy. I am going to Emley on Sunday. I've been put in touch with a great chap there called Chris Cundy![]()
Was wondering whether to go down FAC route or air gun routebut TBH people from the air gun side have been so friendly i think i have made my mind up already

i went to paul lane for a shot period (did my probation period and then decided i wasnt keen and its expensive so i got my SGC certificate instead) it was ok, but its very formal as previously mentioned. i found that most of the members i spoke to were friendly and helpful. as it happened one of my mates and his dad shot there so i had someone to talk to and not look like a complete outsider. it was good to go and have a go with the different caliber rifles but apart from that i found it wasnt much fun.
anyway hope this helps you make up your mind
