    .177 or .22?
.177 zero at 25-28 yards if using 8.44 gr pellet. Check "Airgun" for your ideal set up to obtain the flattest trajectory. Adjust your scope magnification and focus so that near (8yds) and far (45yds) targets are slightly blurred with remainder clear and with 25-30 yard targets crystal clear. Arrange a suitable container for your pellets, using straight from the tin will be a problem in the dry and a bigger problem in the wet. Make sure you have suitable clothing including boots. Best of luck.

Yeah same as above. I shoot .177 recoiling so I zero at 30y. When I was shooting my s200 in.22 I zeroed at 25y. As for the scope I have it on 10x mag and 25y px. Learn your milldots. So when you look at a target and think yeah I'd say that is a 40y target. I'll aim 1 milldot up. Bring a mat if you have one. I.e like an old fishing unhooking mat. This isn't essential but helps the elbows as 90% of the shots are prone. Don't be afraid to ask! Everyone at Cambs HFT are friendly. If your not sure about something or have a question just ask. And the last bit of advice. ENJOY IT!!!! It's a bit of fun. I will see you there. First round of coffees on me.

I was planning on zeroing to 27yards and use my wtc 6.5-20x50 as i get a good view with it from about 15-35 yards before and after said range it gets a little blurry but still usable or is this a little big? I know some people suggest not to go bigger than 40.

Ps Silencer arrived today jay jay, thanks very much.

Hi I'm still learning Foggy I use 10x42 , alot of people use 10x44 wouldn't really matter. Welcome to tag along at any of clubs The Greyhound, Purley Chase FT. My advice is practice and practice.

First i would say relax and enjoy it for the fun that it is, you have plenty time to get serious at it later.
As above on the scope settings, i am sure you will get lots of help when you are there.
