Just threw a few things together in a bowl to coat some rabbit, then fried it off and lobbed in the slow cooker ready for when we return from the woods with the kids later.
No idea if it's gonna taste any good but I'll let ya know and get some pics
Coating (no measures just chuck it in a bowl as you like)
Curry powder, just a little bit
Mixed spice (like chinese 5 spice)
Easy ginger out of a jar
Easy garlic out of a jar
Runny honey to make it sticky
Olive oil
Balsamic viniger
Garlic salt
Mix it all together ready for coating the meat
Fried off 2 red onions and a red pepper and into the slow cooker with 1ltr of beef and veg stock and lashings of red wine
Brown the rabbit after dipping in the sticky mix and place in slow cooker with seasoning and a few sprigs of rosemary from the garden.
Chopped parsnips, squash and carrots in a tray ready to roast and we'll see how it all turns out![]()

I’ve just found what I was looking for, it was where I left it …
The jury's out on that one chaps. Sounds good and the marinade smelt lovely but think the red wine spoilt it. Shoulda stuck with drinking it with the meal instead!!
I reckon the sticky mix without the curry powder would be good on a bbq or pan fried meat joints and saddle meat![]()
