We had a few last year.
All I wanted to do was try it and discover it was disgusting, but be able to say "I've tried it..."
I BBQed it, plain, with pigeon, pheasant and rabbit for the family.
My youngest daughter, 6, loves it and WILL fight you for the last bit., my 8 year old preferred the pheasant.
My wife and M-I-L refused to eat it... until they saw us enjoying it.
Now they are all hooked. It is excellent.

We give away rabbit to family and friends. But the squizzers and pigeon always stay with us.
Tastes a little like duck, very mildly "gamie", but not as much a rabbit - well worth it.

    (Very hard to skin!!!)

I eat the odd tree rat, I find they are great to take to BBQ's (especially the looks on peoples faces when they realise what you brought round). I do them jointed and then threaded on skewers marinaded in lime juice, garlic and grated ginger. To be honest there isn't all that much meat on em but on the other hand they are free meat...

There are also some good vids online that show you really easy ways of getting them skinned and cleaned.
