im guessing you will need a mincer to mince the meat. after that its a case of shaping them. some people use egg mixed in the meat to work as a binder. shaping them and then fridge them over night also works

Why an earth, I can only think of two possible reasons.
    1) No teeth can't chew!
    2) Like my lads just to lazy to chew!

thanx fella's, big help. and to lucan, i'm new to all this and shooting and gutting/skinning is bad enough but carving the meat straight from the bone and into my mouth is still a bit off putting to me. no doubt i'll get used to it but for now i think burgers are the future! and got a big boy's get together in august with the barbie on the go so thought bunny burgers would go down well.

i have never tried but had thought about it. i reckon rabbit burgers would go down really well at a bbq. it can be a dry meat when grilled so if i were you i'd mince some streaky bacon in with the rabbit meat. will help keep it moist and will flavour it too as rabbit is a bit bland

I eat quite a bit of rabbit, and i'm more than partial to a burger, but not rabbit burgers, for me it has to be beef (make my own)

You'd have to experiment a fair bit to get a decent rabbit burger, you would need to add some fat, pork or beef, as the burgers would be very dry.
Some people have great success making rabbit sausages

Stick the meat in a blender first. Put the meat in a bowl and add 2 egg yolks and 2 slices of bread that you have also run through the blender. Add seasoning (chilli flakes, garlic and salt works best). Mix it all up with your hands. Add a dash of Olive oil. Form into burgers using your WET hands. Your hands must be WET! Run them under the tap if they start to dry.

Burgers are quite difficult to make out of rabbit. Try using the same method above to make meatballs instead - they seem to work better than burgers.
