Ha! Just realised I didn't mention you need the meat from at least 2 rabbits to make a decent batch of burgers.

Or yes, it will be all bread!!!

    River cottage recipe,
    1 onion.
    Oil
    kilo minced rabbit meat
250g minced belly pork or sausage meat
    Herbs.
Fry onion gently and leave to cool,
Mix meats, herbs and onions and shape into burgers, wrap in clingfilm and chill till ready to cook.

Fry for 3/4 min each side.

I reakon if you wanted a load, you could freeze the mix as a lump, then defrost shape and chill ready for when the boys come round.
    Good luck with it.

wouldnt it make more sense to shape the meat first then freeze ?

Possibly, but ice forming in the burgers could break them up and then fall apart when cooking them. If you defrost a lump, then shape it into burgers it wouldn't happen.
