    you can eat'em,but i wouldn't want to,all the crap they eat!!!

    People used to eat rook pie and I have heard moorhen is nice and coot as well but not sure about the legality of hunting them.

    Bit bigger as well. They used to be on the license, and very suitable airgun quarry IMO

    Check the recipes and you'll see there's very little rook in a rook pie.

    Just had a you may hunt moorhen and coot but it has a season similar to pheasent

    There's very little you can hunt that you cant eat, most animals that scavenge are frowned upon as food, but they are edible, the problem lies with the amount of effort needed to prepare said quarry for the amount of meat gained, if you were hungry you'd eat a tramps sock, so its all down to personal taste!
