I've had rook, not the "branchers" but an adult - very dark meat - tough - strong - once was enough.
I prepared a maggie breast, it was the size of chicken nugget before cooking.
Chucked it on the BBQ and it shrivelled up into nothing and fell between the grill rails...
I concluded it was not worth the effort harvesting that meat, you end up with a couple of bits the size of a 50p if you are really lucky.

dirty black n white vultures,I'd leave the bandits well alone so to with rooks....pigeon an collards are nice though fry lightly an with BBQ sauce.. or in pie slow well cooked with tatty's peas n carrots..
