    I've had it 3 or 4 times. It's stronger tasting and, depending on age, a bit tougher. Needs to be cooked at a lower heat for a bit longer AFAIK.

    My father-in-law's farm's got a fairly large population of hare - you're guaranteed to see at least 2 or 3 on any given day when strolling about the fields. Pity the farm's in West Clare

    Where I'm from it is common to eat hare (mountain hare) which is the only 4 legged game we have. It tastes good, but I can't compare it to rabbit as I have never tried rabbit.

    Hare's are scarce here where I live so I don't take them. In fact, I've only seen three in the fourteen years living here.

    I've heard that jugged hare is an old recipe but never tried it.

    well i've learned something new..... I was under the impression you couldn't eat hare! I dont know why I thought that! oh well...... new food to try!!! RESULT!
