He could still be genuine , i would not of thought someone would bother scamming for £60 but he has not replied to my e mails at all and i think seven days is long enough to wait . I notice he had a knife for sale in another auction

That's quite surprising as he has over 300 posts and 6 positive feedbacks! Maybe contact the post office?

He seems to be active on pigeon watch and ********* and has a great deal of online history on dozens of sites same IP he can easily be identified and he appears genuine hopefully this will sort its self out soon!

An idea for the mods if people are also selling on fleabay or amazon like myself where I have 100% feedback on both with 100's of deals as do many others you could contact them directly through these accounts just to verify emails and vet users a little that way. Just a thought on how innocent new users could vouch for their record no guarantee but could rate users as fleabay or amazon even play confirmed!

At the bottom of my screen, as part of my signature you will see (Why Trust Me?) click on it and it will take you to my page. Click on 'view member CrabDoctor's Ebay page.' and it will take you to my ebay home page for you to view my feedback. The '(2+)' part signifies feedback left for me after sales on this forum. This will also show up on other forums as part of my signature so if I have lots of feedback on this forum and I decide to go and sell an Xbox on the Xbox forum, I will have a feedback history that people can view.

When making a sale you can use the email template supplied by the WTM site to provide all your details like postal address, email and paypal details etc along with an automatic request for feedback.

I think everyone should take this up because the more recognised it gets, the safer we will all be when buying and selling.

Something else that could be done to improve security is regarding paypal if someone wants to add 4% do so in the asking price and offer discount for cash

Asking for gift payments which affords no protection to the buyer is a scam in its own right!
