    Another Newbie

    Hello,

    I've been a member of the site for a few months and thought I'd better introduce myself.

    I was recently, forced might be a bit strong so I'll go with persuaded or obliged to go to a family gathering up on one of the Scottish islands (I'm from Aberdeen so am not knocking Scotland or the Isles).

    Now I'm not going to name the Island so as not to offend but after a day or two I had covered all the usual tourist spots and much more. The horizontal rain and howling wind which had my substantial frame leaning at a 45 degree angle made outdoor activities a bit of a non event. It even put the Sky TV out of action!!

    A trip to the local newsagents revealed the usual 45 shelves of woman’s magazines with a selection of farming and tractor magazines to boot. Right at the end of the row was a copy of an airgun magazine. It came down to a choice between losing a dress size in 2 weeks or the air gun magazine. So I paid my money and took home the shooting mag.

    The last air rifle I owned was a BSA Supersport about 20 years ago when I was 13ish. I've been an active shotgun shooter for years but on reading the magazine I got a bit of a hankering for another air rifle.

    The thought of sneaking about and shooting a few bunnies, pigeons, crows etc really appeals to me.

    Anyway about six months later I'm now the owner of a Daystate Huntsman Classic and one of theses telescopic thingies. I'm amazed at the difference in rifles since I was a loon but am enjoying every minutes of it.

    I've been out hunting with it once and came back with a rather large rabbit which according to replies from my earlier post I didn't cook for long enough.

    Bring on Friday for my next shoot!!

    So what mag did you go back for once you read the airgun one? Welcome to the forum mate and nice intro, I enjoyed that

    Pelllet on pellet at unlimited range regardless of conditions (yeah right)
