be it up on a hill or down by the stream,
when im driving to work or just sat in the van,
im thinking about even when im on the can.

i think about it in the office or when im on the phone
or sat at the coputer with my feet up at home,
and from this, one thing i know to be true

as we all know .22 is for beginners , who dont really understand the advantages of the far superior .177, but maybe one day when you gain enough experience you will change to .177 and wonder what you ever saw in .22

Count me in .22 the only way to go for real men!

.177 is the way of people with limp wrists!
As a professional photographer, I shoot it one way or another!

Actually, it is the other way around...
Most start out with a .22, and become very adept at judging distances and trajectories. Those .22 enthusiasts continue to use .22, and laugh at .177 fans, who are basically failed .22 users.
The ones that make the switch to .177 were clearly crap at judging distances and trajectories, so needed something where those two factors didn't really matter.
And those that have always used .177 are frightened to move over to .22 because they will have to go back to basics. It is a bit like learning to drive in an automatic, then being given a manual transmission to drive.

And just to throw another debate into the mix...
It is a quite similar reason that people switch from springer to PCP. They couldn't handle the recoil, so bought their way around their inadequacies.

This is why I am a die-hard .22 springer fan.

PS. Please read the small print at the bottom before flaming me.

(This post is meant to be taken with a pinch of salt. It was designed to wind up the .177 fans and PCP users)
