    Exclamation General Licence

    http://www.basc.org.uk/en/shooting/general-licences.cfm

On that link, you can select the appropriate licence for your country within the UK.

You should already be familiar with it's content BEFORE shooting any live quarry. Failure to do so could land you in trouble with the law and give the rest of us legitimate hunters a bad reputation.

Just because something is legal to shoot in winter, does not mean you can have a pop at them in summer. Know the law, and safe shooting.

no rabbits as pidgeon are classed as vermin and can be shot all year round without license. The general license isnt like a drivers license its more like a strict guideline on what quarry you can legally shoot and at what times of the year

    Smile safe side

Just to be on the safe side and show a little bit of common sense I printed the Gen LO5 Licence off and carry it with me it just might help when you come across someone who doesn`t know or care about what`s legal and what isn`t.

I think that your are falling for the common mistake.

    i) Firstly all birds are protected by law (even if it's listed as a pest or vermin).

ii) You must have a reason to shoot any wild bird, just because it's on the vermin list isn't a strong enough reason to shoot it.

    Edited for grammar.
