Plenty of farms around where I live whichever direction I leave my house pretty much. Fairly new to the air rifle scene and this is one activity I am very interested in doing as theres only so much I can bag on my allotment at night. Thanks for the info and I will post any success I get on a relevant thread on this site. First things first I need to sort out some insurance.

    This may sound stupid

Do i have to have insurance to shoot on A) my own land B) someone elses land? I am very new to this whole thing, i have only just got my second rifle, i started with a cheep .177 (£80) then a week later i got my .22 BSA XL Tactical (£200). I have land, but would like to try other areas for hunting. Thanks for your time.

I know everyone says go round but a/its time consuming. b/you have to deal with a lot of knock backs

All i did was fire off half a dozen letters and offered some cash. it worked
    maybe beginners luck
