Doubt I'll do that the more I shoot but I do actually like the look of foxes, I think they are a nice animal, just a pity they are such a bother!!
We do something similar when we shoot a moose, (after the days hunting)
I spent a bit of time considering the taking of animal lives a few years ago, and I'm ok with it, if its done humanely and for a reason, (pest control, culling, etc)

Foxes max 100yds usually about 80. Rabbits out to 130/150 yards but it all depends on the shooter.

WHS^^^ mate I wouldn't take a bunny at that distance yet though I still have to learn the rifle. Longest shot so far 105 yard hare which is still aiming dead on

Great shooting there, I have seen more and more foxes these last 6 months or so. I love to see foxes, however with the large number of them and their nature they will always cause issues. I am not saying that it is always their fault as we often have a large impact on what happens but when they become a problem their numbers or certian ones need to be controlled, it is a sign of great respect to take a second after the shot and think about what you have done and after all we may be humans but we are still animals.

Good shooting Stratts, taking a fox has got to be different than a rabbit as I suppose we associate them a bit with domesticated dogs but at least you have the satisfaction knowing that he died instantly with a very clean shot. Well done

A lot of Foxes will do this and you have to be quick, if they are getting too close bark at it or shot something like oi! - they will stop, then drop it, also if they spook and run they nearly always stop and have a look over their shoulder, second chance at that point but only for a second or 2, different night every time

well done, keep up the good work.
