    Out ratting with the ns200

Well tonight was the last night i have my on loan ns200 so thought i would try a bit of ratting after already trying the ns200 on my fac rapid and rimmie for rabbits. I mounted the ns200 on my little .177 Ultra m/s which is zero'd at 15yds ideal imo for ratting. As expected the ns200 performed very well as it has done mounted on my other rifles. I shot 14 rats and recovered 8 of them. The shoot is an absolute honeycomb of rat holes and it can be frustrating recovering the dead ones as in their death spasms they often fall down their holes lol.
I will be ordering an ns200 tomorrow ive been very impressed with its performance on which ever rifle ive had it mounted on.

Nice shooting, I must admit I was a little more than skeptical about them at first, and although they are a bit faffy when putting them together and more wires than I'd like they are very clear, rimfire & airgun ranges are well within it's capability and centerfire too for the more expensive model, I was out with Kyle when he got his one and I was impressed with the clarity of it, we picked out a couple of Hares at well about 120 yards, the good thing about them is the fact you can swap them about on your dayscopes, I'm still going to get a Pulsar 550 but that's just my personal preference, nice bit of kit - just wish they'd drop the price by a couple of hundred quid then they'd be a no brainer
I can't remember ever drawing £100 from the cash point after midnight for anything positive...

I really like the n550 Its a fantastic piece of kit the guy who owns the rat shoot shoot has one but its still nearly twice the price of the ns200 and the real downside for me is that its a dedicated unit. I know i could use weaver mounts etc but i just prefer the simplicity of the ns200.

I know what you mean, I was going to get a weaver rail for my 10/22 so I could swap the N550 & day scope over but I flogged the 10/22 and ordered an AR15 with a built in weaver rail instead - lol
