When i hunt rabbits i will usually start off by finding some nice cover overlooking an area of rabbit activity and wait silently & completely still untill they come out. If stalking rabbits i find you can get closer to them by breaking up your outline by keeping low and close to hedgerows or available cover... try to do everything as slowly as you can.... If a rabbit is in open ground such as towards the middle of a field the only way i can get close is by advancing commando style whilst almost lying flat on my front. Being downwind also helps alot... if the wind is behind you then they will likely smell you coming and are spooked easier. I'd say rabbits are amongst the hardest things to hunt so as everyone says keep practicing your stalking & put in as many hours target practice as you can from different shooting positions. Good luck mate, you will get one soon
cheers mate, great info! much appreciated!
