Do i read this right you zeroed and went hunting straight away?? with a springer???, not like a real gun, it needs to move and that takes practice, as air rifles ase sooooooooooo slow compared to none sub 12ft the barrel moves before the pellet has left the barrel, and this takes skill (thats why big girls like me use pcp's lol)
But going out is not always about shooting, its about stalking and reading the land, and that (you have proberbly gained) is very usefull. Take what you have learned and use that, its the way forward to a good hunt.
Birds, no lamping bunnys and rats yes to lamping (birds get stressed at the thought of a light more that a head shot)
2 feral pigeons
2 wood pigeons
1 crow
1 Jackdaw
11 bunnys
1 hare
1 imature man that never grew up, who now has a gun

Yes lamping isn't illegal for vermin like rabbits and rats but for roosting birds with the exception of feral pigeons it is. You can lamp feral pigeons all night long.

Hello Megga,
Yes nearly correct, Put about 50 pellets through it in my garden during the day and then took it and zeroed. Fired about 10-15 through it before comencing the the adventure and was spot on each time. Also i did only fire it 4 times in the proceeding two hours. Rest assured it will be rechecked before next outing and no doubt i will have been shooting at targets in the back garden many times before that happens.
How long do you really think it will take to settle fully?
Cheers Chris
