    AA S510 Super-Lite Hunter Green

Thought it was about time I introduce myself, and couldn't think of a better way to do it, so here are a couple of pictures of my new S510 SuperLite .177 with a Hawke Nite-Eye 3-9x50 on it:

So far the 150 or so pellets through it have been a pleasure (Bisley Magnums). I used to be a 10m target shooter so I'm doing as little standing as possible now - fairly pleased with myself on targets up to 30 yds kneeling so far, but I'm not thinking of shooting any bunnies until I can reliably hit the centre of a target out to at least that distance.

It really is wonderfully light, which suits me after years of using an FWB300s (almost twice the weight!)

I'm pleased with the rifle, but now that I'm using it a couple of extras are on the shopping list:

    - A moderator for neighbour-friendly reasons. I figured I should stick to AA for best compatibility. Is the TX585 any good?

    - A bipod, mostly for prone shooting so wouldn't need to be very long-legged. I've heard that Harris springs are a little strong and can be hard on thinner stocks. Recommendations?

    - This being my first scoped rifle, I'm still getting used to aligning my eye directly behind the scope. I remember seeing a product recently that looked helpful for this - some little fluorscent arrows that surround the eyepiece. But I can't remember what they're called.

Anyway, nice to meet you all.

Welcome, and i must say what a beautiful rifle I use a Harris bi-pod and have no quarms with it at all, but it is stuck to an old daystate so not too sure how it would work with your modern marvel.
As for the moderator, ill leave that to someone who knows what they're talking about

Very nice rig you have there
The Weihrauch silencer has a very good reputation however you may require an adaptor for the AA ....................

    You're thinking of Accucover

Is the barrel threaded? I don't remember... If it is go for a Weihrauch mod.

Can't help you with bipods, I've only very recently actually got a PCP since using springers from 14

But all in all, that's probably the best darn looking AA I've ever seen! Nice!

    Thanks guys,

I know looks really shouldn't come into choosing a rifle, but besides the weight and the sidelever (which I really like), the pretty stock did factor more into my decision than it probably should have!

Yes, Ed, the barrel is threaded, and from what I've read and elsewhere over the last few days it sounds like the Weihrauch is the moderator to go for. I believe it does need an AA adapter, TP, but at least this has helped me to narrow the choice down.

    Thanks again

EDIT: Cheers Ed. AccuCover. I tried AccuEverythingICouldThinkOf...

Threaded means that its 1/2 inch unf male and the weihrauch being female threaded means it just slips right on

Really? How refreshing. I expected they'd all be different sizes to be awkward.

    Yep, nice isn't it

Now all they need is universal fill adaptors and I'd be happy...
