There are evil men in this world and they are capable of evil deeds. The moment you forget that or pretend it is not so, you become a sheep. There is no safety in denial.

Selfemployment is the answer.... I think. I pay myself 0.26 GBP a day, if there is enough left after buying feed for the animals....

i dont stand around stairing at the girls,,the sh*t hole night club i work at is full of idiots and fat birds who punch harder than the blokes,3 or 4 fights per week on average, along with divvys chucking glasses or bottles at us and then when someone has battered another person and we try to restrain them there is always a do gooder shoulting at us saying "thats a bit rought" but they havnt seen the state of the victim with a broken nose.but i take the rough with the smooth...7 of us got dearrested last month after 12 bristol lads thought it would be good to threaten to break a girls jaw and when they were told to leave thought it would be funny to kick off with us because we were out numbered..bad mistake..they got there arses kicked and went running to the police and after 3 weeks all was dropped because the cctv and witnesses showed it was all them....sometimes is it worth it?

Doorman is one job I could not do. Aside from not being physically up to it, I dont think I'd be able to deal with all the sumbags you meet.

    doormen.

I wouldn't want to be a doorman, i could do with cash i suppose, but surely there is a stigma attached to it?? gaining maybe a reputation like wheelclampers, Bailifs, etc...?
Ive heard many times people raging about the local hard man who 'does the doors in Brum, Stoke,Manchester'. Do bailiffs do it for the macho image?Kudos? Personally i would do it for the cash and to get off with the old slappers, lol, they do love the bouncers.

We had a situation recently , a stag do in Wolverhampton, six of us all between 35 and 55 years of age, all of good character not trouble makers etc..were about to leave a pub,it was 10 o clock, we'd been out an hour or so, and had consumed maybe 2 pints a piece, so we're sober, one of our chaps was getting on with a barmaid, who was then asked to leave by a bouncer, he was rude, arrogant and imtimidating, we agreed to leave as not to accelerate the problem, and thus we're asked to leave through the side exit into an alley.

The main instigator followed us out and pushed our lad into a wall and told him to stay away, now that was a push too far, for the lad they pushed was a spritely 52 year old ex falklands and NI vet from 2 Para, who is a proper hard man, a crunching headbut and coupe de grace left hook finished it. As all of us lads could have done, consisting of 2 ex national amateur Boxers(ray greens Wolves boxing club circa 1981) 2 ex forces who've seen real stuff!
One ex UDF Gangleader (retired of course) and of course me a Welder .

For the record my Dad was a bouncer, my two brothers were bouncers, i spose back in days when bouncers used to fight other bouncers etc... nowadays four or five manhandle an 8 stone kid out the door and think they are Johnny Rambo,

So maybe a few decent guys are on the doors, the couple of lads who post on here are nice chaps, but there is still the 'bully' element associated with it, i think you guys must see it a lot, personally i still that more regulation is required, trawling round the local kick boxing gyms to find doormen is how a friend of mine recruits, the nastier the better lol
