We have the opposite problem at my work place, we just can't get the management to hire the extra staff we need, we are always running short on swimming teachers and lifeguards

Unfortunately the 'racial equality' laws in this country promote racism as they highlight the 'differences' between us all.
In an ideal world we would employ people solely on merit irrespective of race, colour or religion.
Similarly we should be able to reject people who are not suitable because they are not suitable, and not be scared of anyone playing their 'minority' card.
IMHO Jobs should be advertised honestly, and I do not think there should be any proviso's in the job descriptions regarding race, religion, or even sexual orientation.

There are two piles of CVs normally, they are as follows:

    -Different ethnicities and sexualities.
    -White British

And I bet you know which gets preference. It's especially that way in the public services as they've got to be seen as diverse.
