Sold a dive bottle on there a while ago listed as 'cash on collection'. Just before the auction ended someone sent me a message asking if I would post it, I replied no. I get a message back saying 'whoops just bought it and didn't see your reply'. He lives in south Wales, This made me angry as now my 3 day auction was ruined by someone not reading the description?
I then get a message saying his friend would come and pick it up which was fine so he payed via PayPal and his friend came and picked it up.
The payment was on the 10th of January so I have sent two emails politely asking for feedback so I can get my funds released. Its only £10 but thats £10 towards something for me. I then looked last night and he has left feedback saying 'Fine' but a neutral score!!!?
May sound petty but I like to keep a good feedback score on here and EBay and do everything I can.
This makes me so fuging mad as I changed my listing for him!! His communication was crap but noooooooo i cant leave bad feedback for him!!! The bottle was listed as used and out of test and only cost £10!!! What more did he want?
Aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I am about to give up on ebay because of idiotic users like the one you have described mate.
Listed a load of stuff a few weeks ago clearly stating postage to uk only. Was quite happy when one user bidded and won on several items, they had the user name - van persie. Little did i know that they lived in indonesia. So i told them to hold onto payment until i could get a cost for postage and they went and complained that i had held up the items and would not post them for the quoted £3.
You cant beat them......which is a shame!
Its all set up for the buyer and their charges now are crazy, dont forget ebay own paypal and make you use paypal and charge you for doing so. Nice little monopoly.
The worst one we had was a sale abroad, my wife sold a handbag and sent it to Italy, when the lady received it she sent an email saying she wasn't happy as it didn't come in the protective posh bag thing. It was stated as just the hand bag on the listing. She then complained to eBay that she hadn't received it!!! As it was to hard to track to Italy she got away with getting back the money off the wife and keeping the bag. eBay wouldn't even use the email saying she received it as evidence as "I could have wrote it"??????

Any selling using PayPal have to be sent tracked or your open to that abuse, including here.
This is my rifle. There are many like it, but this one is mine.......
if you have a good look round feebay very few sellers actually sell or send anything to itally...supriced about the email though as the generally ask for the email ''headers'' to prove where it originated.....
ive had problems in the past but i get my revenge,i just wait till they sell something, ill buy it and shaft there feedback..
By rights (iirc) if he picked the bottle up he should have paid cash not by paypal,pp will only cover items that are posted if anything goes wrong, buyers are protected by ebay policy for items that are collected and paid for by cash.
I have taken to checking EVERY single bid that come's in on anything I sell just to make sure they're in the uk,if they ain't then i remove that bid,as 99.9% of what I sell i will only do so within the uk.
As for neutral feedback,it's not as bad as it sound's and you can leave a reply to his feedback that other's can see, although this function is'nt blatently obvious and take's a bit of mucking about to get there.
I have also taken to not leaving feedback until the buyer has done so,not because of dodgy selling but because I was fed up of chasing buyers to leave fb after i had done so....I still have items sold that got no feedback and I find the polish are among the worst offenders for this, hence I won't deal with east europe.

My wife sells a huge amount of stuff on ebay, and it's not as bad as everyone says.
If you have a problem PHONE THEM UP, don't bother emailing as it will end up in a queue and will take three times as long to get an 'automated' response.
Wife has had problems with feedback as discussed above - phoned and got it sorted within 24 hours.
Problems with spurious 'not delivered' or 'not as described' complaints - phoned and got it sorted within a couple of days.
It's easy to hide behind an email (for both parties concerned) but if you phone I feel it gives you the upper hand. Certainly worked in all cases for wifey.
