sounds like you need to speak to the shotgun shooters about there shooting or the police as it not safe, and the land owner imo![]()
This is a discussion on what is it with people within the Get it off your chest forums, part of the General category; well one in particular, we had a plot of land (grass field) that backs onto a wood which we don't ...
well one in particular, we had a plot of land (grass field) that backs onto a wood which we don't shoot we also have the land (different owner) that runs along side the wood.
anyway a few weeks ago we are sat in the grass field, 2 lads in the wood were shooting pigeons, the grass field and the woods are owned by the same person, we had permission to shoot the grass field only from the sheep farmer who rents the land
any way next thing we get a call, the lads who shoot the wood have rang the owner who has in turn rang the sheep farmer, the lads in the wood are worried that everyone will shoot each other so net result we are asked not to shoot there anymore, one of the lads in the wood is apparantly a 24 carat knoob who was blasting away with a shotgun next to the sheep field whilst the guy was lambing.
fast forward to this week, we ring the sheep farmer to ask if it is OK to park in the sheep field then go through the hedge onto our permission as is safer to leave the car in the field as opposed to the roadside, plus it's closer, he says yes, we park there hop the hedge and go to the bottom of our fields which runs alongside the wood, 2 hours later phone call from sheep farmer, the snivelling little shite has rang the land owner and said we were running around the sheep field with our guns, added to that he was the one who stated the safety issue and he proceeded to pepper me & my shooting buddy with at least 11 shots during the 2 hour period i.e his shots has left his boundry onto ours
the landowner then calls the sheep farmer and threatens to get the police involved.
I can't remember ever drawing £100 from the cash point after midnight for anything positive...

Ive seen it time and again with idiots and new hobbies. Guns and motorbikes are two prime examples. They get into a hobby without learning the basics first. Just because they have a gun/bike license doesnt mean they know anything about them. These two hobbies can be fatal in the inexperienced hands. The real problem is it messes it up for the enthusiasts.
this idiot has been shooting for years apparently

may be looked at as tit for tat even though he is a spineless little ****
I could be a **** and go further down our side and cut off 75% of his pigeon supply when he is roosting, I was even letting half fly over me so he didn't get starved of birds then he goes and does this

The guy might have been shooting for years but he hasnt learned a thing. I learned the basics at 7 years old, never point a gun at anyone (loaded or not) look beyond where your shooting so you dont hit something else. Always carry a gun pointed to the floor etc. i bet if you saw the guy you would be ducking for cover when he waved the gun about while walking around.
Look on the positive side, if you stay away and make it clear you are staying away, then when these asshats screw up shoot themselves or do something stupid, you can then say. "well as you can see it wasn't me I did say it wasn't me I was the safe one in this, and these scroats are the ones responsible all along." It doesn't mean you will be allowed back on again as the damage has already been done, but at least it will clear you of any wrong doing.

...you HAVE to speak to the landowner face to face...nothing else will sort it..even if you get no where you tell him strongly, but respectfully that youve done no wrong and explain everything that happened...you never know you may even get a ''shoot'' out of it....keep us informed.
Report the spineless turd to the local FEO, if you are being hit by shot on land he does not have permission to shoot on, sorry, game over, end of license at best or complete backside tearing off at worst!
