absolute scum no other words for it the poor thing was taken about 2 mins walk from one of my permissions and was found (well its head) on the path leading to my shoot an area frequented by the local idiots to sit and drink on a night as its off the beaten path and out of the way of prying eyes wouldnt be suprised if it was those cockroaches who where responsible but you can bet your bottom dollar if i was to walk out with the gun i will be questioned along with any others who go up there the area is also frequented by the local lampers and there dogs yet it will be us honest ones who get it in the neck
god knows what the family must be thinking why do that its just not right

I wonder if it has been taken for meat? I know us british dont eat horse but there are a lot of other people from outside the UK who do. Putting the disturbing nature of this aside, it seems a very odd thing to do. Maybe it was an act of revenge (god father style) only they couldnt put it in a bed!

if it was for meat though there is a field with 2 or 3 full size horses why go out of the way for a shetland i know its smaller but surely anyone looking for a horse to use for meat would have been prepared and taken a larger horse ....... very strange and sick if you ask me

i will be keeping my ear to the ground (not literally) but if i know one thing if its just fools being sick not many can keep there gobs shut in my town they will slip up eventually and paybacks a b1tch certain people in my town dont take kindly to stuff like that

to be honest howlin, i don't think most normal sane people would take kindly to this kind of stuff, i know when i was fishing there was a spate of carp being taken for food by our eastern euro 'friends' and pike were caught and the heads were left spiked onto fence posts as a sort of trophy.

one thing that was happening down here a few years ago was the slaughtering of sheep as a sacrifice on Dartmoor as some satanic ritual, fortunately its not happened for a while, then just last year in Somerset some prick was poisoning/shooting swans.

it saddens me to think that a fellow human could stoop to such levels it really does, personally i don't like horses much but id never dream of hurting one let alone kill one for whatever sadistic reason these fu@@pigs have.

hopefully if they are caught by a few locals then a bit of rough justice should be handed out, i know 2 wrongs and all that but this is just mindless violence, they probably think they are 'hard' now, a bunch of f-----g inbred morons that should be burnt at the stake!'s

Sickening, Funny coincidence though we were talking about a incident that happened here some years ago when a field of horses (5 I think) were mutilated and murdered.

Sadly they never caught the individuals who did it but I hope they catch these ones and deal with the "appropriately" They are obviously not human so should be treated as such!
