I wrote to complain to my MP who is Theresa May, the Home Secretary, that the Police appear to be taking no action.
If there is no Police action on this I will complain to the Independent Police Complaints Commission.

I was shot by a Police Firearms instructor, the DPP refused to prosecute and it was left to Health and Safety to mount a case which they did. The officer was fined 12k plus costs ,,,,,,, He resigned from TVP before they could discipline him......Mr Cole is walking away no doubt!!

Because this idiot is famous, the law can easily make a serious and very public example of him. The police should be involved in this, but I think the lad who was shot is going to milk it and try to get a cash pay-off. That is probably why it hasn't been reported to the police.
Because of his celebrity status, when they throw the book at him, it will make a very bold statement that nobody is above the law. All the potential scrotes that think it is fun to shoot at people will see what can happen. Because there is no limit on the fine they can impose, and the fact that he is minted, they should take every single penny off him, completely bankrupt the shite. Then send him down for the maximum sentence for ABH without any chance of parole. Add to that armed trespass and give him the maximum sentence for that as well. He should then be banned from ever playing professional football and be forced to get an honest job when he gets out.
A reality TV series called 'From Hero to ZERO' should be formed that tracks the arrest, court proceedings and then his time in jail. He should not receive a penny from any money made. This should chronicle every single hardship that he encounters, including the dangers of dropping the soap in the shower. When he gets out, the series should finish with him being released from prison and moved into a one bedroomed high rise council flat with absolutely no belongings other than the shirt on his back. I bet that would stop any more idiots from having accidents with rifles that they don't know if they are loaded or not. This would be far more beneficial to the community than airgun licenses. It will also cost much less to the tax payer (the revenue from the TV show could pay for his time in prison) and much easier to implement.
